Komrades! Come Together and Defend Castro!

"We urge the governments of the commission's member countries to not permit [the resolution] to be used to legitimize the anti-Cuban aggression of the administration of [President] Bush," the letter said....Washington maintains a four-decades-old trade embargo against the island, and trade and travel restrictions have been steadily tightened in recent years....and now it's Bush's 'agression'?

Here are some of the people (US citizens) that joined Ramsey Clark in signing the anti-U.S. letter to the U.N.:

Danny Glover: Founder of the pro-Castro Artists and Writers Committee for Normalization of Relations with Cuba; Film and television star; Supporter of the Communist dictatorship of Cuba, and the Maoist group Not In Our Name; "One of the main purveyors of violence in this world has been [the U.S.], whether it's been against Nicaragua, Vietnam or wherever."; Signatory to "The Conscience of the World," a public letter condemning the War in Iraq...

Howard Zinn: Now 82, Zinn might be best known for "A People's History of the United States" (1980). Or maybe his visit to Hanoi during the Vietnam War to take into his own hands the matter of prisoner-of-war exchanges....He became a political contrarian when he attended a Communist rally in Times Square during the early 20th century....A World War II bombardier, he organized shipyard workers, became an activist in the civil rights movement and preached nonviolent civil disobedience and a distrust of all authority....His activism at the all-female, primarily black Spelman College in Atlanta led to his dismissal. He joined the faculty of Boston University and resumed his activism with students, along the way writing plays that extol Emma Goldman and Karl Marx....All of the people who appear in "Zinn" champion him without reservation, including Daniel Berrigan, Daniel Ellsberg, Noam Chomsky, Tom Hayden and former student Alice Walker....

Alice Walker??

oh, yea..yea..yea...SHE'S another signer...now we know why...

Leftist activist Saul Landau...

James Petras, who's listed at Rebellion.org with Naom Chomsky...

Author James Cockcroft writes in 2003 to Naom Chomsky, declaring "...the US government...spreads terrorism"...talks about the "Bush phase of US imperialism" and emphatically states that he has "... always CRITICALLY supported the Cuban Revolution and will continue to do so."

Novelist Russell Banks, who rubs elbows with Susan Sarandon and Danny Glover (see above)

James Early has long been a friend of Cuba...he is also the Director of Cultural Studies and Communication at the Center for Folklife Programs and Cultural Studies at the Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D.C...

Ann Sparanese, a member of the governing Council of the American Library Association, has been called "A U.S. Librarian Defends Castro"...

Margaret Randall, American born writer, photographer, and activist was born in New York in 1936, denounced her U.S. citizenship at some point; lived in Mexico City; lived in Cuba from 1969-1980; came back to the U.S. and was told to leave because of her overt support for communism; won her case; her biography states: "..resolution of her case enabled Randall to "come out" as a lesbian, which becomes evident in her writings and teaching.."

Jane Franklin: Though it is Jane Franklin who can more frequently be heard heaping praise on Cuba’s “established system of human rights,” and declaring its health and education systems “a model for the rest of the world,” the husband and wife team jointly insist that Cuba is the victim of U.S. terrorism...

....So you see, Ramsey Clark is in good company...he is among his friends...the supporters of communist dictators...

Don't tell me communism isn't alive and well...
