Several dozen passengers refused to disembark from a German airliner when it arrived in Brussels today in what appeared to be a protest against the European Union's conciliatory policies towards Iran, officials and reports said.
"We ask all the leaders of the European Union (not to) support the regime in Iran. We don't ask nobody, no country, nor any power in the world to help us to change the regime. We can do it ourselves," a spokesman said.
The group of 59 unarmed Iranian pro-monarchist protesters were entering their second day of a sit-in calling for the overthrow of the Iranian government.
