...get used to it, people...the United States of America will always be an easy target for the nay-sayers, the hate mongers, the people that are jealous of everything we do...
...I keep hearing - from many varied sources -
"We just need to do _________" - you fill in the blank...
I tell you, it won't matter! It doesn't matter how much money we send; it doesn't matter how many aircraft carriers we send with food, medicine and building supplies; it doesn't matter how many people we send...those that hate us will always hate us and that's just the way it is.
In politics, when you rise in leadership, you become an easier and more enticing target with every inch up the ladder.
The same applies to the world leadership.
The U.S. is clearly the leader of the world.
When tragedy strikes, we are the first on the ground with aid - no matter what form it may take.
So, get used to it. The criticism will continue. We won't change a muslim heart if they are already down the road to extremism. We won't change the minds of those Euros that are chomping at the bit to send hateful messages about anything we do.
It really doesn't matter.
I posted it the other day, and I will say it again: We will continue to do what we do because WE ARE AMERICANS...
...we WILL continue to do the right thing...
..and that really IS all that matters...
