Remember what some are now calling the "Socks Docs" incident? This story REALLY escaped much scrutiny and flew under the radar screen last year.
The New York Post is reporting today that a criminal probe into why former Bill Clinton aide Sandy Berger illegally sneaked top-secret documents out of the National Archives - possibly in his socks - has heated up and is now before a federal grand jury.
This whole thing has been troubling from the start. It reinforces the theory that many have about the Clintons and their complete disregard for the law as it pertains to them. They and 'their people' have demonstrated over and over again that, as far as they are concerned, the laws on the books were written for other people - not them.
Sandy Berger's disgraceful, treasonous, willful theft of and destruction of top-secret documents is HUGE. He was the former national security advisor! He knew what he was doing and should be charged accordingly...
...but, I also want to know how much the Clinton's knew of what he was doing...something just doesn't pass the smell test here...never has...
