Reports are beginning to come in that Saddam Hussein raked in, according to the Gulf Daily News, The Voice of Bahrain, more than 21.3 Billion in kickbacks, ie 'illegal revenue', by subverting the UN oil-for-food programme - more than double previous estimates, according to US congressional investigators.
I touched on this last month and on several other occasions, but for the most part the MSM are trying to ignore the fact that Saddam Hussein, while starving his people, was building an empire and playing a shell game with willing partners/members of the U.N.
Unbelievable is too mild a word to utter over this scandal.
Kofi Annan, hiding behind 'U.N. disclosure' policies, will eventually be discovered to have been a major player in this disgraceful, inhumane, ultimate greed-grab.
And don't forget France. Jaques Chirac, who at this moment is trying to discredit Tony Blair for supporting President Bush, is nothing more than a viscous mobster posing as a champion of the unindustrious.
Chirac, despite his efforts to thwart an investigation, will be exposed. His grand plans for personal power expansion, to the detriment of everyone/anyone else, will ultimately lead to his demise.
A very interesting unfolding of a story that we have been watching for a very long time.....
