Matt Drudge is reporting that "veteran members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences have grown concerned over the choice of Chris Rock as host of this month's awards show"

Chris Rock apparently has been doing what we love to see him do...say exactly what is on his mind:
"I never watched the Oscars. Come on, it's a fashion show," Rock recently declared.
"What straight black man sits there and watches the Oscars? Show me one!"
Rock added: "Awards for art are f---ing idiotic."
He got that one right...
Some in Hollywood have gotten their panties in a wad over Rock's statements...fearing Rock may "tarnish" the reputation of the Academy.
They are so full of themselves...WTF?? "tarnish" the Academy's reputation??
Those egotistical millionaires in Hollywood...why can't they just be happy to suck up our money so we can go to the movies and escape reality for two hours?
The only 'reputation' the Academy has is within that community...none of the rest of the world REALLY cares...but, oh they love to give themselves awards...atta-boys...tell themselves and each other how *wonderful* they are...
Guess they really are little sick puppies, huh? Don't have enough self-respect to realize who or what they are...
I remember right after 9/11 how the Hollywood freaks were all atwitter...thinking the terrorists were going to target them next...remember that? I even think they postponed the Oscars because they were convinced that they were targets.....
Hey Hollywood! Get over yourself!
The rest of the world is dealing with terrorism...so, as someone famous recently said, Shut up and Sing...that is how your name got in the limelight in the first place...nothing else...nothing else...
