Battle-scarred from skirmishes at the State Fair and the AFL-CIO Labor Day Rally, the "Truth Truck" of a gay-marriage opposition group was resting Tuesday in the St. Paul police impound lot, one place where it might not cause a public commotion.
The "Truth Truck," operated by Minnesota Citizens in Defense of Marriage, bears 8-foot-tall billboards showing two men kissing and the message "Want Gay Marriage? Vote Democrat this November."
The latest incident occurred Monday at Harriet Island Park in St. Paul, where some of an estimated crowd of 12,000 that came to hear Democratic vice presidential nominee John Edwards surrounded the truck, unleashing invectives and airborne objects
