Happy Anniversary Arizona!

Today, in addition to celebrating Valentine's Day, we Arizon-ians also celebrate our anniversary of statehood....

February 14, 1912...almost 100 years ago...

...I realize that we are one of the last ones to join the 'union'.....and all of you 'easterners' can celebrate the fact that your state of origin joined many years before we westerners here in the Wild West finally made that decision.....

...but, as someone who was born and raised in this Wild, Wild West...I treasure the fact that my predecessors had the knowledge...the foresight...and fortitude....to hold out just as long as they could....

...gives me one more reason to be proud of the 'cowboy' name many of my friends so fondly attach to my name....
