John Kerry, George Soros Wed

A little known fact is that John Kerry and George Soros were wed on May 23, 2004.

John Kerry was quoted as saying "George is one of the great financial minds in history. He could easily serve as a distinguished Treasury Secretary or as Chairman of the Federal Reserve. Having him by my side to guide our domestic policy will free me up to lead the investigation that will allow us to arrest Osama bin Laden. The American people will be getting two presidents for the price of one."

In a prepared statement, Senator Kerry said: "I thank Teresa for her understanding and my heart goes out to her at this difficult time. However, I just find George five times more attractive."

The wedding announcements that went out earlier this year included information about the happy couple:

Through his office, Mr. Soros, a native of Hungary, suggested that the Bush administration's views of gay marriage reminded him of the Nazi and Communist regimes.

The wedding will be held at the deluxe Boston Harbor Hotel. A Rabbi, a priest and a minister will officiate.

The happy couple is registered at the Federal Election Commission.

Osama bin Laden Threatens: John Kerry Takes a Poll...

Vice President Cheney stated today "The thing that I find amazing about it is that John Kerry's first response was to go conduct a poll," Cheney told supporters in Fort Dodge, Iowa. "He went into the field ... to find out what he should say about this tape of Osama bin Laden."

"It's as though he doesn't know what he believes until he has to go and check the polls, his finger in the air, to see which way the wind is blowing and then he'll make a decision," said the vice president, who offered no evidence to back up his claim. "

George Bush doesn't need a poll to know what he believes, especially about Osama bin Laden." "I don't think that's a man who is up to the task of being commander in chief," Cheney said of Kerry.

A spokesman for Kerry's campaign did not deny polling on the bin Laden videotape....

Apparently President Bush also has “considerable intuitive abilities", according to handwriting expert Sheila Kurtz, who heads the Graphology Consulting Group in New York City.

Heinz Papers Should Be Unsealed, Judge Rules

The New York Times is reporting that A judge has ordered that most court records from a 1994 lawsuit by Teresa Heinz Kerry and her sons regarding the airplane crash that killed Senator H. John Heinz III be made public.

While lawyers for the Heinz family and estate have appealed to the State Supreme Court to take the case....Judge Tressler said he had originally agreed to seal the records to minimize the danger of an unfair trial because of publicity about the case. However, the case was settled before trial.

He ruled that reasons given by Heinz family lawyers - which referred to the family's privacy and security and the fact that the records had been sealed for eight years - did not rise to that level.

November 2nd is a Good Day to be a Democrat Who’s an American First.

Found this excellent piece by Tammy Bruce:

Like all of our presidents, George W. Bush is quintessentially an American. He’s a Cowboy. A Texan. He will never be mistaken for a Frenchman. He’s a Yalie. He’s a man of faith, a husband and father. He’s a man who has fought with and overcome addiction. He’s a man of strength and character.

And while he is also wrong on some issues, if I have to work harder on social issues, I want it to be against a man whom I can admire, who I know, despite our disagreements, honors me in his work to keep this nation free and great.

For those of you who are Democrats and liberals—and I know through my years as a leader in left wing causes, including feminist and gay activism—we all have gone through a sort of conditioning that makes dissent or difference a frightening prospect. Republicans and conservatives have been decidedly demonized in your circle—perhaps by your own friends and family.

Let me tell you this--voting for the President does not change who you are or what you stand for. I stand for the classical liberal concepts of personal liberty and individualism, and have spent a great deal of my adult life working for those causes. I have found that “Choice” and “Individualism” are only slogans if you never act on them. Sometimes being yourself means straying from the expected, standing apart from your crowd.

November 2nd is a good a day to be a Democrat who’s an American first.

Great job, Tammy.

John Kerry - Man of Conviction or Man of Convenience?

Sometimes I get the impression that John Kerry is the candidate with the ‘deer in the headlights’ look. I look at him and listen to his rhetoric and am struck by the fact that had not Howard Dean imploded during the primaries, it would be Dean that we would be listening to on a daily basis rather than Kerry.

It occurs to me that Kerry was actually thrust on the national stage with half-baked ideas, not one of them yet solidified as far as I can see, running for an office that he is ill-prepared to handle.

He has a PLAN. Kerry has a PLAN for everything – at least he tells us so. But he has yet to expand on any of those PLANS to give any of us an inkling of what he is PLANNING to do if he happens to be propelled into office by the millions of dollars that are being spent by the hate-mongering crowd that is supporting his campaign.

Mind you, the I-HATE-BUSH crowd supports Kerry’s campaign, not the man.

That could be Daffy Duck up there running against George W. Bush and the hate rhetoric would be just as loud, just as strong.

Running on yesterday's promises and last century's dreams...the Democratic Party has picked the perfect candidate.

Clueless, unable to stick to a point for more than 30 minutes, war-protestor, and communist sympathizer – yep that’s their candidate - John Kerry.

God Help America if this man is elected on Tuesday.

Steyn on Kerry

Mark Steyn's new column "Justifications for backing Kerry fall flat" is a hilarious breakdown of the various 'supporters' of Kerry:

...my Sun-Times colleagues, looking for a man they -- or, at any rate, Jacques Chirac and Kofi Annan -- can mold...

...the Des Moines Register, arguing that he doesn't seem like a wimp and a loser if you put him in a room full of even bigger wimps and losers....

...Honestly, sighs the Virginian Pilot, he only comes over like a snooty windbag because he's so much smarter than us...

...You're right, says the Washington Post, he has a commitment problem, but we'll work that out after the wedding....

Steyn moves on to question the veracity of the Dems screeching argument about how inept Bush was to let the weapons 'disappear' (those weapons that were never there and that Bush LIED about, remember?):

My version of this story -- they were smuggled out to Syria pre-invasion -- fits the Bush view of the war. But Kerry's version of this story undermines the Kerry view of the war -- or, at any rate, the most recent Kerry view of the war. That's the best clue as to the resolve he'd show as President: He has no internal conviction of his own, and so his campaign has run on incoherent reflex oppositionism, as, indeed, his Senate career has -- if America had followed the positions advocated by John Kerry, there would have been no Reagan arms build-up, and the Soviet Union and the Warsaw Pact would have lingered on, and their clients in Grenada would have destabilized the rest of the Caribbean, and Latin America would not have been democratized, and Saddam Hussein would still be in power and still controlling Kuwait. Kerry's lovebirds at the Washington Post et al. are dreaming of a transformation in their unlovely swain that would be at odds not just with his last three decades but with his last three weeks.

Steyn finishes with a very strong reminder that the Democratic Party of today is nothing more than an empty shell of what existed during the FDR era:

The Dems got a full tank from FDR, a top-up in the Civil Rights era, and they've been running on fumes for 30 years. Their last star, Bill Clinton, has no legacy because, deft as he was, his Democratic Party had no purpose other than as a vehicle for promoting his own indispensability...

And he is right on. The hollow accusations resonate with uneducated voters. Which is, by the way, exactly how the Democrats would leave them - uneducated...unable to take care of themselves...completely dependent on the huge bureaucracy that is going to be built with the tax increases if they get their way.

Kerry's Questionable Military Discharge

Swift Boat Vets has a post about the circumstances surrounding John Kerry's Military Discharge:

October 29, 2004 -- Recommended reading: Kerry's Military Discharge. What's Kerry Hiding?, by Lt. Col. Robert "Buzz" Patterson....

This is something that I covered on this blog a couple of weeks ago and I am glad it is finally beginning to pick up some steam.

Frankly, I am amazed that no one has bothered to look further into this matter. Lipscomb lays out a very logical basis for questioning the timing of Kerry's discharge along with the Form DD 215, "Correction to DD Form 214'", filed by John Kerry, which embellishes the original "Vietnam Service Medal" to "Vietnam Service Medal with 4 bronze stars". This has been challenged by many vets who claim that there is no such thing!

But the larger issue still remains the timing, which this post at Human Events Online details very well, quoting Thomas Lipscomb from the New York Sun and Geoff Metcalf at NewsMax.

Bottom line - John Forbes Kerry needs to sign Military Form 180. We deserve to know the truth.

And Now...The Rest of The Story....

Iowa Sen. Tom Harkin says John Kerry has been gaining in the polls...."That's how God wants it to be," Harkin told a group of about 25 people at the Benton County Headquarters in Vinton on Thursday afternoon.

Yes - it is the SAME Tom Harkin that went with John Kerry to support communist Daniel Ortega from Nicaragua.....the SAME Tom Harkin that, along with John Kerry, failed to mention Ortega's plans, either to the State Department or to their colleagues in the Congress, before a majority in the House voted against aid for the freedom fighters.

Communist sympathizers...Kerry and Harkin.

What makes you think anything has changed?

DR

The Bolshevik in Kerry

From George Neumayr at The American Spectator:

John Kerry demands "tax fairness for Americans." This is his euphemism for fleecing Americans who pay the highest taxes. What he calls "tax fairness," Karl Marx called wealth redistribution.

"Tax fairness" for Kerry just means ripping off the rich and redistributing their wealth to Americans who don't even pay taxes. He says that he will raises taxes on families earning more than $200,000 a year but will cut taxes on the "middle class."

Kerry's "middle class tax cut" will amount to government subsidies for Americans not paying taxes. In his mind, a middle class tax cut is a government-subsidized job retraining program. Notice he never straightforwardly says that he will cut the middle class's income taxes but rather, "We're going to invest in our people again."

Kerry has always gravitated to the rhetoric of class warfare just as he has to crackpot world leaders who traffic in it. His support for "Father Aristide," the Marxist inciter of political killings Kerry tries to pass off as a benign priest, stems in part from Kerry's weakness for the class-warfare liberation theology the defrocked priest peddled.

John Kerry, Tom Harkin, Daniel Ortega

Kerry's limousine liberation theology led him into one of the most embarrassing moments of his early Senate career -- his disastrous Neville Chamberlain-style diplomacy with Sandinista leader Daniel Ortega. Shortly after becoming a Senator, Kerry took off for Nicaragua with Tom Harkin on a free-lancing fact-finding tour, the purpose of which was to stymie congressional support for the Contras by "finding" that the Sandinistas weren't such bad guys after all. After Kerry met with Ortega, he returned to Washington waving a promise from Ortega that the Communist leader would moderate his policies. "We believe this is a wonderful opening for a peaceful settlement without having to militarize the region," Kerry said. "The real issue is: Is this administration going to overthrow the government of the Sandinistas no matter what they do? This opportunity puts this to the test." The normally cautious Secretary of State George Shultz was so flabbergasted by Kerry's shilling for Ortega that he denounced Kerry publicly for "dealing with the communists" and letting himself be "used" by Ortega.

Kerry's diplomacy blew up in his face. As Kerry was reassuring his colleagues that Ortega wouldn't establish Soviet and Cuban bases in Nicaragua, Ortega (a few days after he met with Kerry) was flying to Moscow to arrange a $200 million transfer of Soviet monies to Nicaragua. Kerry's sales pitch for the Sandinistas -- "I see an enormous haughtiness in the United States trying to tell them what to do. Our economic squeeze on them is very sad. The whole population is suffering" -- worked in Congress. It voted against aid to the Contras, even as Ortega was collecting aid from his Soviet bosses.

This angered Republican senators enough that they wondered if Harkin and Kerry hadn't known about Ortega's impending trip to Moscow and just didn't tell their colleagues about it lest the information change the vote. Said one press report at the time: "Liberal freshman Senators John Kerry and Thomas Harkin made a much publicized trip to Nicaragua shortly before the May vote in Congress on U.S. aid for the anti-communist freedom fighters. Insiders say the two senators learned while in Managua that Nicaraguan ruler Daniel Ortega was planning a trip to Moscow to ask for more Soviet support for his communist government, yet the senators failed to mention Ortega's plans, either to the State Department or to their colleagues in the Congress, before a majority in the House voted against aid for the freedom fighters."

It was a revealing episode in Kerry's career. That he still talks about "liberation theology" -- as when castigating the Bush administration for its "ideological and theological hatred" of Aristide -- shows how deeply the culture of class-warfare rhetoric seeped into him. When Kerry calls for "tax fairness for Americans," it is that culture in him which is coming out.

Democrats Outspent Republicans 9 to 1 in 527 Contributions

According to Edward Robinson, Bloomberg Markets Magazine, the amount of money that has been spent by Democrats compared to Republicans in contributions to 527 organizations, is now defined by a margin of 9 to 1.

George Soros has spent $43 million, including contributions to "America Coming Together", trying to get the current American president, George W. Bush, out of office.

The one thing these 'well-endowed' control freaks have underestimated is the will of the American people to keep a president in office that has - as his central focal point - the best interest of those same American citizens at heart.

"Nearly Every Single Model Has Him Winning"

Labor Memo Suggests Bush to Win Election is the title of the article at Newsday.com.

Labor Department staff, analyzing statistics from private economists, report in an internal memo that President Bush is likely to do "much better" in Tuesday's election than the polls are predicting.

Of course the Kerry campaign is complaining.

Kerry's campaign contended the Bush administration was wasting taxpayers' money:
"If the Bush administration focused more on the economy and less on politics, George Bush would not be the first president in 70 years to lose jobs," said Kerry campaign spokesman Phil Singer. "George Bush has turned the government into his own taxpayer-funded political machine."

**NOTE: BWWWWWWAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHAAAAAHAAAAA
is there any human being alive that can really take these guys seriously??

The document also includes a Washington Post story, an article from Monster.com and charts and briefs on the latest economic indicators.

One factor in the election that has been "downplayed is the president's popularity," a variable the report says may be important. "Fortunately, there are models (that) incorporate this concept," it says.

The economic models are not infallible, but they do "systematically measure past data, which is a far cry better than relying on anecdotal evidence," the paper says. The models looked at an array of economic indicators, including gross domestic product, unemployment and inflation.

The analysis also discusses a futures market that lets players bid on a probable election outcome. It also checked Web sites of oddsmakers in America and abroad.

Bush's support in this group has climbed 8 points since the previous Pace Poll/Rock the Vote survey in July (from 40% to 48% now). You think I'm kidding?

Think again...George Soros is only out for George Soros...and whatever it takes...money, lives...WHATEVER...I am telling you...George Soros sees himself as the next Exalted Ruler of the World!

Democrats are so hungry for a win in 2004, they don’t care whether George Soros is following the rules this time around or not. One “Democratic operative” told U.S. News & World Report, “[Republicans] don’t accept the legitimacy of political opposition. These people will do anything to gain and hold power. So I’m not exactly feeling full of ethical scruples as we fight for survival.”

This is the George Sorosization of the Democratic party. As we will see, this idea of “scruples” being for the other guy has been central to Soros’ philosophy in business, philanthropy, and foreign policy.

Supporters and defenders of the United States Constitution should take note.

IRS Reviewing the NAACP's Tax-Exempt Status

According to this article in the Minneapolis Star Tribune

The Internal Revenue Service has begun reviewing the NAACP's tax-exempt status, citing concerns over a speech given by its chairman at its annual convention last July in Philadelphia.

IRS officials said they could not discuss the specifics of any case. But IRS commissioner Mark Everson issued a statement denying that the agency's interest in the NAACP was politically motivated.

"The IRS follows strict procedures involving the selection of tax-exempt organizations for audit and resolution of any complaints about such groups," Everson said.

"Career civil servants, not political appointees, make these decisions in a fair, impartial manner. Any suggestion that the IRS has tilted its audit activities for political purposes is repugnant and groundless."

Why I Am Voting For George W. Bush

There are a myriad of reasons that my vote will be cast next week for George W. Bush for President of the United States of America.

And there are many more reasons why I will NOT be voting for John Kerry:

We do have a right in this country called freedom of speech, and I am in favor of everyone’s right to this freedom – even if I don’t always agree with them. But, one thing I have never done – nor any of my friends has ever done – nor any of us have ever contemplated doing – was meeting with the enemy while a war is still being fought against them.

Or protesting against a war by throwing medals over the fence that surrounds the White House, especially while my comrades-in-arms are still fighting the war I just left.

Or invoking the name of the enemy while a war is still being fought. Or taking that enemies demands for ending the war, including leaving our POWs in enemy camps.

My grandfather served in WWI. He returned home and went back to his life, didn’t mention the war very often. But one thing he did NOT do was speak falsely about his comrades-in-arms or testify against them – especially while some were still suffering in POW camps.

I don't see a flag burning, medal throwing, communist loving history with George W. Bush.

I look at George W. Bush and I see America. Sure, he is not perfect. Who is? Sure, when I look at him I am reminded of the words in Amazing Grace "...that saved a wretch like me!I once was lost, but now am found; Was blind, but now I see."

But, for all his faults, GW is someone that is committed to preserving the American way of life...his first priority.

George W. Bush has stood tall, looked the enemies of the United States of America in the eye and told them "No Way." Not under his watch. You won't see George Bush bowing at the altar of the United Nations. The UN, that is filled with countries that hate the U.S. and want us to fall. GW won't cut and run. He will finish the fight the terrorists picked with the United States on September 11, 2001.

That is the reason the terrorists, North Korea, Iran, all the enemies of the U.S. are AGAINST George W. Bush for re-election.

And that is precisely why I will vote FOR him.

Just IN: Russia Tied to Iraq's Missing Arms

This is critical, so I am reprinting the entire article here.............

The Washington Times is reporting tonight:

Russian special forces troops moved many of Saddam Hussein's weapons and related goods out of Iraq and into Syria in the weeks before the March 2003 U.S. military operation, The Washington Times has learned.

John A. Shaw, the deputy undersecretary of defense for international technology security, said in an interview that he believes the Russian troops, working with Iraqi intelligence, "almost certainly" removed the high-explosive material that went missing from the Al-Qaqaa facility, south of Baghdad.

"The Russians brought in, just before the war got started, a whole series of military units," Mr. Shaw said. "Their main job was to shred all evidence of any of the contractual arrangements they had with the Iraqis. The others were transportation units."

Mr. Shaw, who was in charge of cataloguing the tons of conventional arms provided to Iraq by foreign suppliers, said he recently obtained reliable information on the arms-dispersal program from two European intelligence services that have detailed knowledge of the Russian-Iraqi weapons collaboration.

Most of Saddam's most powerful arms were systematically separated from other arms like mortars, bombs and rockets, and sent to Syria and Lebanon, and possibly to Iran, he said.

The Russian involvement in helping disperse Saddam's weapons, including some 380 tons of RDX and HMX is still being investigated, Mr. Shaw said.

The RDX and HMX, which are used to manufacture high-explosive and nuclear weapons, are probably of Russian origin, he said.

Pentagon spokesman Larry DiRita could not be reached for comment.

The disappearance of the material was reported in a letter Oct. 10 from the Iraqi government to the International Atomic Energy Agency.

Disclosure of the missing explosives Monday in a New York Times story was used by the Democratic presidential campaign of Sen. John Kerry, who accused the Bush administration of failing to secure the material. Al-Qaqaa, a known Iraqi weapons site, was monitored closely, Mr. Shaw said.

"That was such a pivotal location, Number 1, that the mere fact of [special explosives] disappearing was impossible," Mr. Shaw said. "And Number 2, if the stuff disappeared, it had to have gone before we got there."

The Pentagon disclosed yesterday that the Al-Qaqaa facility was defended by Fedayeen Saddam, Special Republican Guard and other Iraqi military units during the conflict. U.S. forces defeated the defenders around April 3 and found the gates to the facility open, the Pentagon said in a statement yesterday.

A military unit in charge of searching for weapons, the Army's 75th Exploitation Task Force, then inspected Al-Qaqaa on May 8, May 11 and May 27, 2003, and found no high explosives that had been monitored in the past by the IAEA.

The Pentagon said there was no evidence of large-scale movement of explosives from the facility after April 6.

"The movement of 377 tons of heavy ordnance would have required dozens of heavy trucks and equipment moving along the same roadways as U.S. combat divisions occupied continually for weeks prior to and subsequent to the 3rd Infantry Division's arrival at the facility," the statement said.

The statement also said that the material may have been removed from the site by Saddam's regime.

According to the Pentagon, U.N. arms inspectors sealed the explosives at Al-Qaqaa in January 2003 and revisited the site in March and noted that the seals were not broken.

It is not known if the inspectors saw the explosives in March. The U.N. team left the country before the U.S.-led invasion began March 20, 2003.

A second defense official said documents on the Russian support to Iraq reveal that Saddam's government paid the Kremlin for the special forces to provide security for Iraq's Russian arms and to conduct counterintelligence activities designed to prevent U.S. and Western intelligence services from learning about the arms pipeline through Syria.

The Russian arms-removal program was initiated after Yevgeny Primakov, the former Russian intelligence chief, could not convince Saddam to give in to U.S. and Western demands, this official said.

A small portion of Iraq's 650,000 tons to 1 million tons of conventional arms that were found after the war were looted after the U.S.-led invasion, Mr. Shaw said. Russia was Iraq's largest foreign supplier of weaponry, he said.

However, the most important and useful arms and explosives appear to have been separated and moved out as part of carefully designed program. "The organized effort was done in advance of the conflict," Mr. Shaw said.

The Russian forces were tasked with moving special arms out of the country.

Mr. Shaw said foreign intelligence officials believe the Russians worked with Saddam's Mukhabarat intelligence service to separate out special weapons, including high explosives and other arms and related technology, from standard conventional arms spread out in some 200 arms depots.

The Russian weapons were then sent out of the country to Syria, and possibly Lebanon in Russian trucks, Mr. Shaw said.

Mr. Shaw said he believes that the withdrawal of Russian-made weapons and explosives from Iraq was part of plan by Saddam to set up a "redoubt" in Syria that could be used as a base for launching pro-Saddam insurgency operations in Iraq.

The Russian units were dispatched beginning in January 2003 and by March had destroyed hundreds of pages of documents on Russian arms supplies to Iraq while dispersing arms to Syria, the second official said.

Besides their own weapons, the Russians were supplying Saddam with arms made in Ukraine, Belarus, Bulgaria and other Eastern European nations, he said.

"Whatever was not buried was put on lorries and sent to the Syrian border," the defense official said.

Documents reviewed by the official included itineraries of military units involved in the truck shipments to Syria. The materials outlined in the documents included missile components, MiG jet parts, tank parts and chemicals used to make chemical weapons, the official said.

The director of the Iraqi government front company known as the Al Bashair Trading Co. fled to Syria, where he is in charge of monitoring arms holdings and funding Iraqi insurgent activities, the official said.

Also, an Arabic-language report obtained by U.S. intelligence disclosed the extent of Russian armaments. The 26-page report was written by Abdul Tawab Mullah al Huwaysh, Saddam's minister of military industrialization, who was captured by U.S. forces May 2, 2003.

The Russian "spetsnaz" or special-operations forces were under the GRU military intelligence service and organized large commercial truck convoys for the weapons removal, the official said.

Regarding the explosives, the new Iraqi government reported that 194.7 metric tons of HMX, or high-melting-point explosive, and 141.2 metric tons of RDX, or rapid-detonation explosive, and 5.8 metric tons of PETN, or pentaerythritol tetranitrate, were missing.

The material is used in nuclear weapons and also in making military "plastic" high explosive.

Defense officials said the Russians can provide information on what happened to the Iraqi weapons and explosives that were transported out of the country. Officials believe the Russians also can explain what happened to Iraq's weapons of mass destruction programs.

Kofi Annan....smoke screen?

New Arizona poll: Bush 50 Kerry 45

Phoenix Business Journal reports that a new poll by Rasmussen Reports gives President Bush a 50 percent to 45 percent lead over Democratic Sen. John Kerry in Arizona.

That mirrors an Arizona State University poll this week that also had Bush up by five points over Kerry.

Recent surveys have shown Bush leading in Arizona by between five and 11 points.

Bush carried Arizona by six percentage points over Al Gore in the 2000 presidential election.

Rasmussen also released new polls on Wednesday showing Bush with narrow leads over Kerry in Nevada and New Mexico.

The Southwest has become a top battleground in the Kerry-Bush race though New Mexico and Nevada are considered more in play than Arizona.

To Kerry And Company - Thanks For Supporting Our Point!

All of the screaming about 'missing explosives' inside Iraq from the Liberal Left - Kerry & Company in particular - WTF???

Up to now, I have only heard the Libs emphatically stating that Saddam posed no threat!

You can't have it both ways, Kerry & Co.

So what is this all about???

The blame game - that's what it is.

Fire off as many accusations as quickly as you can - doesn't matter if they are truthful or not - with less than a week to go before election day, hit 'em with as many as you can and see what sticks....

But think about it....

... the U.N. Inspectors were supposed to be watching Saddam - and now we find out that these explosives disappeared before the troops arrived - all of this outcry is only supporting President Bush's argument that for all of their 'hard work', U.N. inspectors were never going to be able to control Saddam's thirst for weapons.

Thank you John F'n Kerry...you just solidified the argument that we have been making all along...

Bush 65% - Kerry 33%

Since 1956, Weekly Reader students in grades 1-12 have correctly picked the president making the Weekly Reader poll one of the most accurate predictors of presidential outcomes in history.

Hundreds of thousands of students participated in this year's poll through classroom elections nationwide. President Bush had a commanding lead over Senator Kerry, capturing more than 60% of the votes.

USAToday reports: Most political junkies won't give it the time of day, but the Weekly Reader presidential poll of schoolchildren has pegged every winner since 1956.

This year's winner? George W. Bush — in a landslide.

Most polls of adults put Bush and Democratic Sen. John Kerry neck-and-neck. But this one wasn't even close: Bush got 65% of kids' votes, while Kerry got just over 33%, says Weekly Reader editor Mia Toschi.

She says Bush's emphasis on terrorism and security won votes. That sentiment was echoed by Patty Spiers, a second-grade teacher in Tarpon Springs, Fla., who says the GOP's security message resonated with her 7-year-olds. "From what I heard from my children, the kids who are for Bush, their parents say, 'Well, Bush will keep us safe.' " The wee Kerry voters tell her, "We'll get better health insurance."

Polling experts say kids' political views often reflect those of their parents. "You would expect the results of a poll of children to look just like the poll of adults," says Cary Funk of the Pew Research Center for the People and the Press.

Voting was open to kids in first through 12th grade. Students could vote in class, via the Internet or by dialing an 800 number. Toschi says 327,707 kids in all 50 states cast ballots.

But even a sample size of more than a quarter-million students is "irrelevant," says Frank Newport of the Gallup Poll. He says polls must be truly random to be accurate.

Other kids' polls have picked Bush — one by children's publisher Scholastic sees a 52% victory. Channel One, the in-school TV network, gave 55%.

Can You Change My Mind? I Doubt It - Can I Change Yours?

Jordan, fellow blogger, visited and left a comment that warranted a much more detailed response than I am able to leave in the comments section. I am going to respond here:

Jordan: Not that I can change your vote but I have some questions or points I would like to make to you.

Jordan: The whole basis of the war was Weapons of Mass destruction. UN inspectors didn't find any, pre war, but Bush insisted they had them. As of today no WMD's have been discovered, so that leads me to conclude the war was started on false pretenses.

DR: You know, Jordan, even the U.N. inspectors acknowledged that Saddam had the potential for making for WMD. The “news” about the missing explosives is a clear example of what Saddam Hussein was able to do because he had SO MUCH time to prepare for the attack. While the liberals were insisting on getting a blessing from the U.N. to protect our nation, Saddam was moving WMD out of his country, probably to Syria. President Bush did not move against Iraq under false pretenses. He was using what is commonly known as a preemptive strike to avoid another terrorist attack from a country that was known to harbor terrorists. Al Zarqawi, the evil terrorist that kidnaps and decapitates innocents, has lived in Iraq for years. Are you prepared to say that while Saddam allowed him sanctuary in Iraq, Saddam wasn’t aware of his terrorist activities? Saddam was – at best starving his people – at worst torturing and killing them – stealing money from the Oil for Food Program and using it to buy weapons towards a WMD end.

Jordan: Next, we have the capture of Saddam Hussein. Sure it may be good to get him off the "streets" but what about Osama? It seems W forgot about him. He was the leader of 911 not Hussein, who as the 9/11 commision concluded, had no links to Al-qaida. If Bush had spent the billions of dollars on hunting Bin Laden rather than going to war with Iraq I am certain he would have been captured and Bush procliamed hero of the day.

DR: Jordan, OBL is dead. DEAD.

Jordan: And you mention that John Kerry is a liar. What about Dick Chenney? Saying he had never before met John Edwards till the night of the debate, when the two had met at a Senate luncheon (or some function to that effect).

DR: The Vice President was stating that he never met John Edwards on the Senate floor. Cheney was stressing the fact that while John Edwards aspires to be VP, he doesn’t show it in his service in the Senate. Here is the transcript for that portion of the debate:

Cheney: The reason they keep trying to attack Halliburton is because they want to obscure their own record.

And Senator, frankly, you have a record in the Senate that's not very distinguished. You've missed 33 out of 36 meetings in the Judiciary Committee, almost 70 percent of the meetings of the Intelligence Committee.

You've missed a lot of key votes: on tax policy, on energy, on Medicare reform.

Your hometown newspaper has taken to calling you "Senator Gone." You've got one of the worst attendance records in the United States Senate.

Now, in my capacity as vice president, I am the president of Senate, the presiding officer. I'm up in the Senate most Tuesdays when they're in session.

The first time I ever met you was when you walked on the stage tonight.

DR: Put into context, Vice President Cheney's comment makes sense.

Jordan: And Halliburton. They were awarded govenment contrcats in Iraq they they didn't even have to place bids on, and coincidentally enough vice president Dick Chenney is the former CEO of Halliburton. If you think he had no bearing on them getting the contracts you are sadly mistaken.

DR: Halliburton was awarded the contract because they were the only company doing that kind of work. Why put out bids if no one else is qualified or able to apply? Halliburton was awarded the cleanup contract in Kosovo for the same reason – by the Clinton administration – and we didn’t hear an outcry over that. Why not? Cheney resigned from Halliburton, by the way. Anything he receives is much, much lower than he would have received if he stayed on – dividends he earned while he was with them, no new money.

Jordan: So those are just a few of the points why I feel George W. Bush doesn't deserve another term in the White House. Thanks for taking time to read my comments.

DR: Jordan, WAKE UP! From your website it doesn’t look like you are able to vote here in the U.S., but maybe someone reading this will give it a second thought.

John Kerry’s non-record for the last 20+ years should be a good indicator of someone that likes to talk, talk, talk….but does nothing to follow up that talk.

President Bush is the ONLY choice for this election. I may not agree with him on every issue, but as I said in an earlier post –

Without security for a nation, for its citizens and the residing commerce that sustains those citizens, there is nothing left to consider.

All of the arguments that are left on the table quickly disappear:
Health coverage is a moot point if terrorists are running amok and not allowing hospitals to operate (Afghanistan).
Social Security is a non sequitur if the citizens don’t live into old age, rather lie decomposing in mass graves (Iraq).
Tax relief or restructuring become meaningless if there is no infrastructure in place (Haiti).

President Bush – yes, cowboy fashion – will stand tall and fight for Americans.

CBSNEWS PLANNED BUSH MISSING EXPLOSIVES STORY FOR ELECTION EVE

Matt Drudge is reporting that news of missing explosives in Iraq -- first reported in April 2003 -- was being resurrected for a 60 MINUTES election eve broadcast designed to knock the Bush administration into a crises mode...

Drudge is also reporting that "In an election week rush:

**ABCNEWS Mentioned The Iraq Explosives Depot At Least 4 Times
**CBSNEWS Mentioned The Iraq Explosives Depot At Least 7 Times
**MSNBC Mentioned The Iraq Explosives Depot At Least 37 Times
**CNN Mentioned The Iraq Explosives Depot At Least 50 Times"

BUT

NBCNEWS reported: The 380 tons of powerful conventional explosives were already missing back in April 10, 2003 -- when U.S. troops arrived at the installation south of Baghdad!

An NBCNEWS crew embedded with troops moved in to secure the Al-Qaqaa weapons facility on April 10, 2003, one day after the liberation of Iraq. According to NBCNEWS, the HMX and RDX explosives were already missing when the American troops arrived.

"The U.S. Army was at the site one day after the liberation and the weapons were already gone," a top Republican blasted from Washington late Monday.

Hate Mongering Left is Trying To Soften Us Up For The Kill

According to David Horowitz at FrontPage, the group, "Church Folks for A Better America," ran a political ad counseling defeatism in Iraq in the New York Times, and is the same one:

who counseled defeat in Indo-China, aided the torturers of American POWS in North Vietnam, and fronted for the Soviet dictatorship’s "nuclear freeze" campaign. (If successful, this campaign would have consolidated a Soviet missile advantage and prolonged the Cold War.) Robert Edgar was a leader of the campaign to force Elian Gonzalez into the clutches of Fidel Castro, a sadistic dictator who has made his nation an island prison.

It has been said that this week will be the worst for the rhetoric coming from the left - they are going to pull out all of the stops in their last effort to win back the presidency.

Forget the truth. Forget that we are fighting a war. Forget that their words are solace for our enemies while our troops remain in harms way.

Horowitz's words should resonate with you and warn you not to fall prey to the vicious tactics of the Socialist Left:

By destroying the tradition of bipartisanship in war, by betraying a war policy they signed onto, and by conducting a scorched earth campaign against their own commander-in-chief, the Democratic Party has opened the public square to a political zoo of America hating radicals. Personified in such figures as Noam Chomsky and Michael Moore, their agenda is exactly the same as it was during the Cold War and the war in Vietnam: to demoralize our troops, to sap the will of our citizenry, to weaken our ability to stay the course and resist, and to soften us up for the kill.

Stay the course. We are winning with the truth...and they know it.

Kerry: Not One to Let The Truth Get In the Way

I realize that if I keep updating you on the Kerry Lies series, I will be forced to start another blog dedicated to just that in order not to dominate this one.

The following is all the way from Scotland. Thanks to Hugh Hewitt for the tip.

Scotsman.com News reports:

SENATOR John Kerry’s efforts to portray himself as "just a regular American guy" suffered a blow this weekend when he comprehensively messed up the scoreline at a game featuring his beloved Boston Red Sox.

Twice on Sunday, the Democrat said he was basking in the glory of Boston’s 10-9 win on Saturday night. The problem was, the Red Sox won 11-9.

"Ten-nine, the Sox did fabulous," Mr Kerry said with a big smile as he ducked into church on Sunday morning in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Inside, the minister asked worshippers to clap "if the Lord has done anything wonderful in your life this week", to which Mr Kerry applauded.

"I had a special reason to clap," Mr Kerry explained. "The Red Sox won 10-9."

Mr Kerry’s spokesman, David Wade, said the senator got the score wrong because 10-9 was the last update he got during his late-night flight to Florida.

The problem is, the score never was 10-9. The Sox won on a two-run homer, meaning they went from nine runs to 11. Regardless, Mr Kerry’s adviser, Mike McCurry, explained to reporters: "The senator had bad intelligence last night."

However, the confusion struck again within hours of his team’s second game.

Landing in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, the Democratic candidate bounded off the plane wearing his Red Sox cap to exclaim: "Seven-one Red Sox!"

The Red Sox were winning 6-1 at the time. They went on to win 6-2.

What to do? What to do?

You simply are gonna have to muzzle him. Just like Tereza'

That really is your only option, McAuliffe.

What Is It With This Guy? Kerry Lies, Part CXXIV

N.M. GOVERNOR DETAILS HIS STATE'S SUCCESS STORY Published on October 26, 1986 Author(s): Peter J. Howe, Globe Staff

New Mexico's governor, who holds the highest elected post of any Hispanic nationwide, and the head of the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination were given awards for political excellence last night by the Massachusetts Latino Democratic Committee.

More than 250 people--including Gov. Dukakis, US Sen. John Kerry and an array of state Cabinet members--attended the banquet at the World Trade Center in South Boston honoring Gov. Toney Anaya and Alex Rodriguez.

Nice stuff, huh?

Only problem is, what the New Mexico governor relates to us directly flies in the face of the other...next...latest...newest...best known... lie that John Kerry is telling. (your pick on the descriptor)

According to this from ESPN.COM:

ESPN: We've got to ask you some Red Sox questions. Do you believe in the curse?

Kerry: Do I believe in it? No, but it certainly makes a powerful argument from time to time. I mean, I don't believe in curses, but I do think that we've been under a cloud here and there. I was 30 yards away from Billy Buckner in that famous Shea Stadium game in '86. So I've been there in the heartbreaks. And I was screaming at the television set when Grady did not pull Pedro out.

uh huh.

Michael Goldfarb at the Weekly Standard notes:

On October 25, 1986, the Boston Red Sox were facing off against the New York Mets in the sixth game of the World Series.........Unlike Kerry's disputed presence in Cambodia on December 25, 1969, his claim to have been a witness to one of the most infamous moments in Red Sox history should not have raised suspicion. But after claiming his favorite Red Sox player of all time was Eddie Yost, who never played a single game for the club, the research arm of Football Fans For Truth vigorously worked to verify Kerry's account of the event.

I can just hear Kerry now...."Mommie said 'inconsistency'... no...'incoherence'...no...'incongruity'...no...well, hell! I know it was one of those "i" words"

Elizabeth Edwards' Threat

After reading with disbelief this morning on Matt Drudge, I have been mulling this over all day long and there really is only one conclusion you can come to after listening to ole' Lizzie Edwards on tape - she obviously was repeating what she has been hearing behind closed doors:

The Kerry-Edwards camp plans on inciting riots if they don't win the election.

THEY ARE THREATENING RIOTS IF THEY DON'T WIN!

What else can you deduce after hearing this:

Supporter: Kerry's going to take PA.

Liz Edwards: I know that.

Supporter: I'm just worried there's going to be riots afterwards.

Liz Edwards: Uh.....well...not if we win.

don't believe me? Listen to this.

So - You Want Government Funded Health Care?

Mark Steyn's No Time For Kerry's Europhile Delusions drives home the deadly outcome of government funded health care and reminds us of one key reason we are suffering from flu shot shortage today:

...if there's four words I never want to hear again, it's "prescription drugs from Canada." I'm Canadian, so I know a thing or two about prescription drugs from Canada. Specifically speaking, I know they're American; the only thing Canadian about them is the label in French and English. How can politicians from both parties think that Americans can get cheaper drugs simply by outsourcing (as John Kerry would say) their distribution through a Canadian mailing address? U.S. pharmaceutical companies put up with Ottawa's price controls because it's a peripheral market. But, if you attempt to extend the price controls from the peripheral market of 30 million people to the primary market of 300 million people, all that's going to happen is that after approximately a week and a half there aren't going to be any drugs in Canada, cheap or otherwise -- just as the Clinton administration's intervention into the flu-shot market resulted in American companies getting out of the vaccine business entirely.

So this is no time to vote for Europhile delusions. The Continental health and welfare systems John Kerry so admires are, in fact, part of the reason those societies are dying. As for Canada, yes, under socialized health care, prescription drugs are cheaper, medical treatment's cheaper, life is cheaper. After much stonewalling, the Province of Quebec's Health Department announced this week that in the last year some 600 Quebecers had died from C. difficile, a bacterium acquired in hospital. In other words, if, say, Bill Clinton had gone for his heart bypass to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal, he would have had the surgery, woken up the next day swimming in diarrhea and then died. It's a bacterium caused by inattention to hygiene -- by unionized, unsackable cleaners who don't clean properly; by harassed overstretched hospital staff who don't bother washing their hands as often as they should. So 600 people have been killed by the filthy squalor of disease-ridden government hospitals. That's the official number. Unofficially, if you're over 65, the hospitals will save face and attribute your death at their hands to "old age" or some such and then "lose" the relevant medical records. Quebec's health system is a lot less healthy than, for example, Iraq's.

One thousand Americans are killed in 18 months in Iraq, and it's a quagmire. One thousand Quebecers are killed by insufficient hand-washing in their filthy, decrepit health care system, and kindly progressive Americans can't wait to bring it south of the border. If one has to die for a cause, bringing liberty to the Middle East is a nobler venture and a better bet than government health care.

Steyn never minces words...which is probably one of the reasons his column is a must read for me.

Ohio Butterfly Ballot Designed to Confuse Bush Voters?

Ohio Cuyahoga County Butterfly Ballot

Talon News is reporting that Ohio's Butterfly Ballot "Appears" To Give Advantage to Kerry-Edwards Ticket...

I say it is DESIGNED to have voters casting a ballot for the Bush-Cheney ticket to punch the wrong hole. GOPUSA reports:

The official ballot for Cuyahoga County, Ohio lists the Democratic ticket first since the word "Democratic" is first alphabetically. An arrow points to an adjacent blue box located directly across from the Kerry-Edwards ticket.

However, the Republican ticket consisting of President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney is listed at the bottom of the ballot since "Republican" is listed last alphabetically among the names of the political parties.

But the controversy arises over the location of the punch card box for the Republican ticket. The matching red box is not directly across from the Bush-Cheney ticket name, but rather it is located near the top and above the Democratic ticket.

Instead, there is a green box located directly across from the Republican ticket that may fool voters who do not notice that is not the correct place to cast a vote for the Bush-Cheney ticket.

This apparent flaw in the ballot of the most populous of the 88 counties in Ohio could literally swing the election to Kerry-Edwards in what is expected to be a tight race.

Mathew Manweller: Election Determines Fate of Nation

Found this excellent article published in the Ellensburg WA Daily Record on Oct. 6, 2004.

I can’t add anything to improve a word of what Manweller wrote:

In that this will be my last column before the presidential election, there will be no sarcasm, no attempts at witty repartee. The topic is too serious, and the stakes are too high.

This November we will vote in the only election during our lifetime that will truly matter. Because America is at a once-in-a-generation crossroads, more than an election hangs in the balance. Down one path lies retreat, abdication and a reign of ambivalence.

Down the other lies a nation that is aware of it's past and accepts the daunting obligation its future demands. If we choose poorly, the consequences will echo through the next 50 years of history. If we, in a spasm of frustration, turn out the current occupant of the White House, the message to the world and ourselves will be two-fold. First, we will reject the notion that America can do big things. Once a nation that tamed a frontier, stood down the Nazis and stood upon the moon, we will announce to the world that bringing democracy to the Middle East is too big of a task for us. But more significantly, we will signal to future presidents that as voters, we are unwilling to tackle difficult challenges, preferring caution to boldness, embracing the mediocrity that has characterized other civilizations.

The defeat of President Bush will send a chilling message to future presidents who may need to make difficult, yet unpopular decisions. America has always been a nation that rises to the demands of history regardless of the costs or appeal. If we turn away from that legacy, we turn away from whom we are.

Second, we inform every terrorist organization on the globe that the lesson of Somalia was well-learned. In Somalia we showed terrorists that you don't need to defeat America on the battlefield when you can defeat them in the newsroom. They learned that a wounded America can become a defeated America. Twenty-four-hour news stations and daily tracing polls will do the heavy lifting, turning a cut into a fatal blow. Except that Iraq is Somalia times 10. The election of John Kerry will serve notice to every terrorist in every cave that the soft underbelly of American power is the timidity of American voters. Terrorists will know that a steady stream of grisly photos for CNN is all you need to break the will of the American people. Our own self-doubt will take it from there. Bin Laden will recognize that he can topple any American administration without setting foot on the homeland.

It is said that America's W.W.II generation is its 'greatest generation'. But my greatest fear is that it will become known as America's 'last generation.' Born in the bleakness of the Great depression and hardened in the fire of W.W. II, they may be the last American generation that understands the meaning of duty, honor and sacrifice. It is difficult to admit, but I know these terms are spoken with only hollow detachment by many (but not all) in my generation. Too many citizens today mistake 'living in America' as 'being an American.' But America has always been more of an idea than a place. When you sign on, you do more than buy real estate. You accept a set of values and responsibilities.

This November, my generation, which has been absent too long, must grasp the obligation that comes with being an American, or fade into the oblivion they may deserve. I believe that 100 years from now historians will look back at the election of 2004 and see it as the decisive election of our century. Depending on the outcome, they will describe it as the moment America joined the ranks of ordinary nations; or they will describe it as the moment the prodigal sons and daughters of the greatest generation accepted their burden as caretakers of the City on the Hill."

Kerry's Latest Whopper!

Joel Mowbray over at the Washington Times has this:

U.N. ambassadors from several nations are disputing assertions by Democratic presidential candidate Sen. John Kerry that he met for hours with all members of the U.N. Security Council just a week before voting in October 2002 to authorize the use of force in Iraq.

Mowbray notes several occasions where John Kerry has stated publicly:

I went to meet with the members of the Security Council in the week before we voted. I went to New York. I talked to all of them...

Only problem is - the meeting never took place! ...and now people are coming forward to dispute Kerry's lie.

Kerry made the same assertion during a speech to a Unity Conference of minority journalists in August 2004.

Kerry also said this - I met with members of the Security Council - during a speech on the Senate floor October 9, 2002.

While it is becoming more and more apparent that Kerry supporters are choosing to ignore or - worse - accept the fact that he is a pathological liar, the fact remains that Kerry so pointedly told the world about some of his mother's final words to him: "integrity, integrity, integrity" - and in the next breath says "George Bush doesn't let the truth get in the way."

No, Kerry! YOU are the falsifier of reports in order to get Purple Hearts; YOU are the prevaricator telling lies about your fellow soldiers; YOU are the phony warrior with the 20 year anti-war record.

But, the important thing is this - the issue I raised last week about Heinz-Kerry's possible problem with Nannygate-ish issues is finally coming to light!

NewsMax is reporting this:

Does John Kerry, whose billionaire wife, Teresa, employs a small army of housekeepers, gardeners, cooks, chauffeurs, butlers and other hired help at her five estates around the country, have a Nannygate problem?

Two calls this week to the Kerry campaign press office asking if Mrs. Heinz has paid Social Security taxes on her domestic staff have so far gone unreturned.

I think it is important to get to the bottom of this - and quickly. If there is nothing to hide, why is THK being so coy about releasing only the first two pages of her tax return?

If there are no problems with her servants - how they are being paid and BY WHOM - then tell us....but the problem on page 2 of her tax return is a first clue, say I.

NewsMax goes on:

Some say, however, that even the small bit of information revealed in the Kerry campaign's two-page tax document dump last Friday show telltale signs that the Heinz Kerrys do indeed have a Nannygate problem.
The Internet blog site "Desert Rat Ramblings" noted, for instance:

"Lines 55 and 59 on [Teresa's] Form 1040 are Social Security and Medicare taxes paid to Household employees, ie: nannies; housekeepers; gardeners; etc. ... What Heinz-Kerry is claiming on her tax return for Household 'wages' extrapolates to approximately $7,500 - $8,000/year.

"$8,000 a year paid to household staff from a billionaire?"

Aside from Social Security taxes, questions about whether the would-be first couple obtained the proper I-9 immigration forms from their employees, and maintained proper W-2 records, have also gone unanswered.

Only a press corps that was actively working for a Kerry win would have let these questions fester till the last two weeks of the campaign.

Absent more thorough media scrutiny - or the Kerry campaign's decision to be more forthcoming about Teresa's finances - the American public would be right to conclude that something is being covered-up.

Inquiring minds want to know......

Talk About a Walking Contradiction

Despite the fact that Dick Cheney would fit into the government's definition of those most vulnerable to a looming influenza epidemic as he has a long history of heart disease

the Kerry campaign issued a highly critical statement yesterday over the fact that Cheney received a flu shot: "Once again, the Bush administration proves that it is the 'do as we say, not as we do' White House," the campaign said in a statement issued in Pittsburgh where Kerry was campaigning.

"The very week that (health) secretary (Tommy) Thompson is telling Americans to keep calm, Dick Cheney, John Snow and Bill Frist getting flu shots."

"It is unfortunate that the Bush administration failed to do the work necessary to ensure that all Americans, including those most at risk, had been able to get shots as well."

Only problem with that criticism is THIS:

Senator Hillary Clinton said the former president, hubby BillClinton, has received a flu shot.

Not a word...not a PEEP...out of the Kerry campaign about THAT ONE!

Ron-ny Reagan on Scarborough Country

you know, I have cautioned people about personal attacks.......

....but don't you think - with all his zillions - that Ron-ny Reagan could at least get his friggin' teeth fixed if he is going to subject us to looking at his close-ups on TV?

I mean - C'MON!!

The other night as I was channel surfing, I happened to see Ron-ny on Animal Planet - he was one of the commenters on some kind of dog show.

I actually think he did better that night than tonight in Joe Scarborough's absence.

But, now that I think about it, maybe that was because the camera was focused on the little doggies when the judge was....well....looking at their butts......

maybe that's the difference!

The Bitch Factor

Mary Landrieu, Democratic Senator from Louisiana, was just turned loose on FoxNews after Sean Hannity's interview with Vice President Dick Cheney.

Can't talk about issues.

Can't answer the question.

Talk over the conservative.

It is clear that Landrieu read the 'DNC talking points' from cover to cover.

What a bitch.

Landrieu tried her best to defend the johns' attacks on Dick Cheney's daughter. But it didn't wash.

How can you translate John Kerry saying "...I think if you were to talk to Dick Cheney's daughter, who is a lesbian" into what Landrieu tried to paint as John Kerry honoring the "love" that Dick Cheney has for his daughter???

When she was running for election in 2002, Landrieu had tried to win by depicting herself as a moderate Democrat who supports this popular President 70 percent of the time - until Bush endorsed her opponent.

Or, maybe tonight was pay-back time for that? Is that what it was Landrieu? Or are the American people just seeing the true Landrieu without all the smoke and mirrors?

If you still don't believe me, ask her opponent in 2002, Suzanne Haik Terrell

Bush Supporter Zombies Try to Make Kerry Liberal Eat Meat

This just in:

The 2004 election is turning out to be a real nightmare for liberals -- literally.

According to political dream researcher Kelly Bulkeley , liberals are becoming more and more agitated in their dreams as election day nears.

...one left-leaning college student participating in Bulkeley's research reported having a nightmare where bright red "zombie Bush supporters" pushed her around and tried to feed her "some kind of processed meats"

Oh, the STRESS....those damn Bushies!

Another participant, a Bush-hating Baby Boomer, dreamed he was trying to get to the Democratic convention in Boston but couldn't find a parking spot.

oh ya, that's the stuff MY nightmares are made of...heh

Bulkeley says dreams reflect emotions that remain unexpressed in our waking hours, and he concludes that Democrats are experiencing a lot of anxiety about possibly losing the race.

He's been studying election-year dreams from both liberals and conservatives since 1992 and says the nightmares in this year's crop are more dark and bleak.

hmmmm...dark and bleak...

dark.........and........bleak

the end is near...and they know it...

Tell It To The Judge...Or...Just Make Something Up...

A judge in California recently told juror-candidates that if they were embarrassed to admit that they couldn't be fair, just to make up another excuse, and he'd let them go....

Other weird news:

Super-Sized Burial Caskets

yep - that's right - now you can go to the mortuary and say "Super Size IT!" States the manufacturer "Since Americans are getting bigger, families of the deceased are asking for additional choices that the normal sized caskets don't provide."

next thing you know, they'll make remote control sex toys...oh wait! they already have:

....a new computer gadget enables someone to apply direct physical stimulation sexually to another person over the Internet, thus advancing "cybersex" far beyond its previous limitation of mere words and pictures....And you thought long distance relationships were so 'hard'....

that's all for now...and you can't say I wasn't objective.....

"I'm a little concerned about this notion everybody wants us to be objective"

Who said that? I'll tell you - Peter Jennings.

That's right. The Peter Jennings ABC news anchor that millions tune in every night to get their daily 'news.'

Only now, old Pete is letting us know that it hasn't been objective news reporting he's been doing all these years...oooooohhh.....noooooooo....

Why, that would be just a 'notion' wouldn't it? Us? Us expect Them to be objective?

BWAAAAAHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

now you know.

American Voters Predict a Bush Win

According to Bill Sammon at the Washington Times today:

New polls by Gallup, Fox and ABC News have Mr. Bush ahead by eight, seven and five points, respectively. However, those same polls show the president leading by margins of 20, 17 and 23 on the question of who respondents expect to win the election.

General Tommy Franks on Tora Bora

"I can tell you that the senator's understanding of events doesn't square with reality."

With those words, General Tommy Franks captures the essence of John Kerry.
