Ok, Obama gives good speech...I'll give you that...
But it's the CONTENT that I am concerned with...he says nothing!
He particularly says nothing new...Obama's big speech last night was almost an exact copy of Mario Cuomo's 1984 speech at the 1984 Democratic National Convention...
Obama:
John McCain has spent a lot of time talking about trips to Iraq in the last few weeks, but maybe if he spent some time taking trips to the cities and towns that have been hardest hit by this economy—cities in Michigan, and Ohio, and right here in Minnesota—he'd understand the kind of change that people are looking for.
Maybe if he went to Iowa and met the student who works the night shift after a full day of class and still can't pay the medical bills for a sister who's ill, he'd understand that she can't afford four more years of a health care plan that only takes care of the healthy and wealthy. She needs us to pass a health care plan that guarantees insurance to every American who wants it and brings down premiums for every family who needs it. That's the change we need.
Maybe if he went to Pennsylvania and met the man who lost his job but can't even afford the gas to drive around and look for a new one, he'd understand that we can't afford four more years of our addiction to oil from dictators. That man needs us to pass an energy policy that works with automakers to raise fuel standards, and makes corporations pay for their pollution, and oil companies invest their record profits in a clean energy future—an energy policy that will create millions of new jobs that pay well and can't be outsourced. That's the change we need.

OBAMA'S DISCOVERED LIST OF LIES GROWS AND GROWS AND GROWS
The problem in the coming days for Obama will be, as I see it, to try to convince the voting American public that his lies about his past...his covering up of certain facts...his attempt to remake himself into something else will all eventually unravel and he will be left with a lot of 'splaining to do...

If a similar remark had been made about Barack Obama and referencing his race, you and everyone in your studio would have been horrified.
John McCain is able to run circles around Barack Obama in SPITE of McCain's age, so lay off the age jokes and references please.

Jeremiah Wright is the Racist...Not White America
I have been dismayed at the recent events surrounding Rev. Jeremiah Wright...disappointed in a way that I am seriously surprised to discover...
But the thing that I am dismayed about is not the impact Wright is having on Obama's campaign...I have said earlier and often that Obama is an unknown on the American scene, too much about Obama has not been revealed for him to become the next president of the United States of America...
No, the disappointment rests in the fact that while white Americans were sincerely trying to move beyond race...while WE were trying to be color blind...inside black churches, every Sunday, black congregants apparently sit down to hear the current week's worth of hatred for America and, in particular, hatred for WHITE Americans...
Let's get real about this whole Reverand White issue...
I have heard many people chime in on this and say Rev. Wright is not unpatriotic! Wright was a marine!
Well, let me tell you something...Lee Harvey Oswald, the man who murdered John F. Kennedy, was a marine...simply being a marine does not give someone a get-out-of-jail-free-card to spew hatred for the United States of America on a regular basis...
But Wright's hatred is not only directed at America...come on, you know it...I know it...he is, plain and simple, A RACIST......
Jeremiah Wright is a racist! And if you think that keeping on your rose-colored glasses on this one will make go away, think again people...
Apparently all the rhetoric about "moving beyond racism" has been a one-sided deal...WE have tried to move beyond it...from the words and scenes we have seen from Wright's pulpit...and the congregation cheering and standing and jumping...there wasn't anything to indicate that his members of his "church" think any differently...
This is really disturbing...

I have always thought that liberals were unhappy people and this is only cementing that theory in my head…they would eat their own young rather than admit that they are wrong about…well, about anything
Take the ‘super delegates’ that are pledging their support to Obama…even Bill Richardson who was Bill Clinton’s UN ambassador and secretary of energy... Richardson was also the one that met with Monica Lewinski to offer her hush money…well, not hush money exactly, just a job at the UN…but that’s another story…
Could this be Bill Clinton’s chickens coming home to roost?

OBAMA IS A VERY GOOD SPEECH READER
Is it only me or has anyone else noticed that Barack Obama reads a very good speech...
the key word is READ...
I have noticed over the past few days how many times Obama says "Um"...believe me when I say it is a LOT...
Part of it I am sure is due to the fact that he is lying to us all when he says he never, ever heard one of Wright's hate-filled speeches from the pulpit...
But, and I noticed this a long time ago - very early in this campaign - Barack Obama gets up in front of an audience and reads...he is reading from a teleprompter...totally scripted...

Well so far I think we've heard about 3 stories on what and what not Barack Obama heard the "reverend" Wright say...no, YELL...during many of Wright's lectures...I cannot say sermon because nothing from the Bible ever crossed Wright's lips during his horrendous rants and condemnation of white people, of America..
Today, in a carefully crafted speech, Obama said the following: "Did I ever hear him make remarks that could be considered controversial while I sat in church? Yes."

Isn't that a complete 180 of what we've been hearing the past week?!
Problem is, democratic strategists are falling over themselves in an attempt to make this 'go away', but the hate that spewed from Wright's mouth during a CHURCH SERVICE is beyond the pale...
It is one thing to disagree with the way the country is run...it is one thing to have a different opinion about how things go down in our capitol...but it is another thing...it is a TOTALLY WRONG THING for someone, especially someone in the position that reverend Wright is in a CHURCH!...to say DAMN AMERICA!
He didn't say it once...he repeated himself over and over and over again to make sure...to be VERY SURE...that anyone that was within listening distance was certain, with no doubt in their mind, that his hatred for America was venemous and vile.

WARD CHURCHILL'S CHICKENS FINALLY COME HOME TO ROOST
OMG...talk about Karma...I was literally dancing in front of the television last night as I watched the news about Ward Churchill FINALLY being fired by the University of Colorado...
Of course Churchill and his lawyer are going to try to make a case that Ward Churchill is a 'victim'...but, believe me when I say...it's about time!!
Churchill is a toxic, pernicious influence on our young people attending CU...he is only one of many IMO, but he is, by far, one of the worst...Churchill is a liar...a phony...a fake...he lied about most of his work, stealing from others...a "little thing" we call plagiarism...

Behind the move to dismiss Ward Churchill are questions about the accuracy and integrity of his scholarly works. Findings of a faculty investigative committee released last year:
Historical facts: Churchill manufactured events in which European Americans intentionally spread smallpox to kill Indians. In one such event, the Army is said to have distributed tainted blankets to Mandan Indians. But no evidence backs the claim.
Elsewhere, Churchill claimed the United States adopted a formal racial code to identify Indians, similar to the code used by the Nazis to identify Jews. U.S. law includes no such code, legal scholars say.
Plagiarism: Churchill published an essay on water issues in Canada that closely resembles a pamphlet by a Canadian environmental group. He also borrowed a work on fishing rights originally published by Canadian scholar Fay Cohen.
Falsifying sources: Churchill wrote essays under the names of other people, which he then cited as independent sources in his footnotes.
The investigative panel described the charges as serious.

The men who flew the missions against the WTC and Pentagon were not "cowards." That distinction properly belongs to the "firm-jawed lads" who delighted in flying stealth aircraft through the undefended airspace of Baghdad, dropping payload after payload of bombs on anyone unfortunate enough to be below – including tens of thousands of genuinely innocent civilians – while themselves incurring all the risk one might expect during a visit to the local video arcade. Still more, the word describes all those "fighting men and women" who sat at computer consoles aboard ships in the Persian Gulf, enjoying air-conditioned comfort while launching cruise missiles into neighborhoods filled with random human beings. Whatever else can be said of them, the men who struck on September 11 manifested the courage of their convictions, willingly expending their own lives in attaining their objectives.
Nor were they "fanatics" devoted to "Islamic fundamentalism."

Just because Mr. Churchill is a tenured professor, this DOES NOT give him the right to do anything and everything he damn well pleases....being tenured - according to definition and many university policies - pretty much ensures that professors have a job for LIFE AND CANNOT BE FIRED WITHOUT CAUSE...

Senate to Consider Border Fence Bill
USA Today reports: "Border security is the essential first step of any effort to enact immigration reform. Only when we have convinced the American people of our commitment to securing our borders will we be able reach a consensus on comprehensive immigration reform," Frist said in a statement.
Does this mean that they finally get it?? Or is this an election year maneuver...
Democrats are likely to try to block the bill. They may try to attach the comprehensive immigration bill the Senate passed in May as an amendment and push debate into next week. A delay could be a problem as Congress tries to wrestle with legislation addressing treatment of terrorism suspects.
OF COURSE the libs are going to try to defeat it and/or block it!

After an almost 8 month hiatus, I have decided to rejoin the political scene...gah!
But, this was something I just could not pass up...
Yesterday Len Munsil, Republican candidate for governor of Arizona, won the primary election to run against incumbent Democrat governor Janet Napolitano....the fur is flying already.
In an article on the outcome the Arizona Republic referred to Munsil repeatedly as a social conservative...
Horror of Horrors! a Social Conservative!!! as if that's a dirty word...
Munsil called Napolitano "out of step with Arizona."
Okay, I can agree with that...but the reaction from Napolitano's minion was a preview of what we can expect in the upcoming weeks:
Barry Dill, a Napolitano campaign consultant, responded in kind.
"Over the next eight weeks, we are confident that Len Munsil will be exposed for the inexperienced, out-of-the-mainstream zealot that he truly is," Dill said. (my emphasis)
The absentee ballots haven't even been tallied yet and already they're going for the jugular...HA!
Inexperienced you say?! (according to Munsil's website he is a Reagan conservative who has spent the past two decades effectively advancing core Republican principles...)

- Liberals argue about his "clear intent to overturn abortion rights" and the Roe v. Wade precedent on which they are based. When a party bases their opposition to an appointment of a judge on one issue, the focus shifts to them rather than on the qualifications of the candidate.
- Liberals argue that Judge Alito broke his written promise to the Senate and -- "shockingly" -- failed to recuse himself in a 2003 case involving the mutual fund company Vanguard, in which he held an investment worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, when - IN FACT - the argument was clearly made that that law was written for judges that have CONTROL OVER THE DECISION-MAKING-PROCESS WITHIN A COMPANY, which HE DID NOT.
Again, I ask that you vote YES on Mr. Alito's nomination and OBJECT TO the use of a filibuster, if necessary, in liberal's attempts to stop him. The double standard that Democrats in the United States Senate live by is simply astounding.
As I listened and watched on C-Span to the pompous, self-grandiose bloviating that went on today, I was shocked that we didn’t observe any of them break an arm as they were patting themselves on the back while smearing a very humble and worthy nominee.
While these mini-gods trashed Alito…while these haughty, pompous, arrogant Democrats threw every insult they could possibly think of…Alito sat there straight-faced (and – perhaps a little in shock?)…

Who do they think they are to insult a man that could run circles around them on ANY intellectual subject??

But - truthfully - I think his comments are based on this part of the article: Recent polls say 56 percent of Americans approve of the job Mr. Bush is doing to protect the country from another terrorist attack...

The latest attack on the President is disgraceful...their accusations that he "broke the law"...that he is "grabbing for power"...all false..
The jurisprudence involved with electronic surveillance for foreign intelligence collection - and the fact the warrantless searches by law enforcement are not uncommon and legal - would indicate that Bush’s assertion of authority is correct. (my emphasis)The Judicial Branch and the Legislative Branch of the federal government have always acknowledged that the Executive Branch has authority to act in the interest of national security – especially when foreign threats are involved.
These facts do not lend any credibility to the hysterical pronouncements by Democrats and other political enemies of the president that he is usurping power. The facts certainly do not justify the attitude of the mainstream media.
When a journalist asked President Bush a question implying that he asserted unchecked powers with his approval of electronic surveillance that reporter revealed his ignorance for all the world to see.
The president’s political enemies are either ignorant or blatantly mischaracterizing crucial aspects of American law. One would not expect journalists to know much, however, one would expect that Senators and Congressional Representatives know the law. (my emphasis)
It seems the only thing that is really warrantless about this affair is the criticism of the president by those more concerned about obtaining power than protecting the people...(my emphasis)

Byron York reported yesterday: In a little-remembered debate from 1994, the Clinton administration argued that the president has "inherent authority" to order physical searches — including break-ins at the homes of U.S. citizens — for foreign intelligence purposes without any warrant or permission from any outside body. Oh, don't bother to check the MSM headlines...they are all scouring around for some terrorist who is willing to blow himself up in order to disrupt this historic event...
President Bush yesterday stated "We are living through a watershed moment in the story of freedom," he said in the culmination of four major speeches laying out his strategy for victory. "Iraqis will go to the polls to choose a government that will be the only constitutional democracy in the Arab world."
The President also slammed his critics: "Some of the most irresponsible comments about manipulating intelligence have come from politicians who saw the same intelligence we saw, and then voted to authorize the use of force against Saddam Hussein," he said. "These charges are pure politics."
"Whatever our differences in Washington, our men and women in uniform deserve to know that once our politicians vote to send them into harm's way, our support will be with them in good days and bad." (my emphasis)
Okay...Libs...get this straight...we are going to win this war - with or without you...
We are going to continue to SUPPORT OUR TROOPS - EVEN IN THE DARKEST HOUR
Because, unlike YOU, we are not fair weather friends...
We are steadfast...

Tookie Williams is Dead...I Am Grieving For The Loss of Life
Oh, no...don't misunderstand...
I am not grieving for Williams death...I am grieving for the four innocent people that he murdered...you know...the ones that the insane liberal left NEVER mention...
Williams' death will occur nearly 27 years after he brutally murdered Albert Owens, a 7-Eleven clerk in Whittier, and three members of the Yang family — Yen-I Yang, Tsai-Shai Yang, and their daughter, Yee-Chen Lin — at the Brookhaven Motel in Los Angeles....
Unlike the peaceful, painless demise awaiting Williams, the deaths of his victims were horrific: He shot each of them at close range with a 12-gauge shotgun, shattering their bodies so that they died in agony. Their suffering amused him...
"You should have heard the way he sounded when I shot him," Williams bragged after killing Albert Owens. According to the district attorney's summary of the evidence, "Williams then made gurgling or growling noises and laughed hysterically about Owens's death."
Of course, you don't hear Hollywood or any of the libs talking about that...
You can find pictures all over the internet of Williams...
I can't even find one of any of his four victims...
So, today, I am mourning...for the victims...for their families...for their children...and for their grandchildren who will never know them...
I heard someone today on a radio show...a caller...that explained the death penalty like this:
"..it gives the families of the victims the chance to move on...otherwise, our society would be filled with people seeking vengeance..."
I paraphrased it...but that makes sense to me...
Today...vengeance was served to Stanley "Tookie" Williams...

It is a disgusting scene that we are watching...
Liberals defending - or completely ignoring - a documented murderous monster while accusing our own of horrible deeds...
Lyndon Johnson's Attorney General, Ramsey Clark, is now on Saddam's defense team...
Sen. Dick Durbin (D) likening American interrogators and Gitmo military staff to Nazis, Soviet gulag operators and genocidal maniac Pol Pot...
John Kerry calling our soldiers "terrorists"...
...and nary a serious word about all of the details of torture...horrible, criminal, unending torture...under the hands of Saddam Hussein...
Our liberals would rather defend a known murderer...
Our liberals would rather accuse our own men and women that make up our military of crimes...torture...with nothing to back up their wild-eyed accusations...
It is a melt-down...it is a sad, unethical, unpatriotic scene we are witnessing...
and - YES - I am calling them unpatriotic...

So there was John Kerry on Sunday's Face the Nation...and it was 1970 all over again...
In accusations about American troops reminiscent of what the young John Kerry said to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in 1971, the senator and 2004 Democratic presidential nominee told CBS "Face the Nation" host Bob Schieffer there was no reason for U.S. soldiers to continue "terrorizing" Iraqi children.
"And there is no reason, Bob, that young American soldiers need to be going into the homes of Iraqis in the dead of night, terrorizing kids and children, you know, women, breaking sort of the customs of the – of – the historical customs, religious customs," Kerry said Sunday. "Whether you like it or not ... Iraqis should be doing that."
I want to hear from the U.S. Soldiers Kerry is accusing of this!
I want to hear it from THEM that they are TERRORIZING KIDS AND CHILDREN...WOMEN...IN THE DEAD OF NIGHT!
