Mark Levin posted an excellent article on his facebook page regarding Obama’s exertion of executive privilege. Levin points out one critical fact that it appears that Obama and Holder have apparently overlooked:
As the Supreme Court has also recognized repeatedly, the Congress, in the exercise of its constitutional powers, has the essential power to investigate the actions of the Executive Branch.
This is something I have repeatedly tried to stress, which is crucial during this period of time as we are witnessing our sitting president trying to dismantle our Constitution and form of governing.
Levin continues:
Chairman Issa should file suit in federal court in DC and seek expedited action. There is no need for Senate action. The use of this procedure has been acknowledged by the Congressional Research Service in a 2007 study. Further, a privilege log should be sought by Issa and ordered produced immediately by the court, in camera inspection done promptly by the judge, and a final order entered compelling production of all documents for which no legitimate reason justifies Executive Privilege.
I wholeheartedly agree. Hopefully Issa will take this under consideration and proceed accordingly.
Holder’s Department of Justice submitted a letter to Congress on February 4, 2011 and then withdrew it in December 2011 claiming that the letter was ‘inaccurate’. As NPR stated back in December 2011, (I know!) that was an “extraordinary step” of formally withdrawing an inaccurate letter about the episode that it sent to Congress earlier this year.
NPR went on to say: Misleading Congress can be a prosecutable offense if a person who makes the statements knows they are false. But Attorney General Eric Holder has told lawmakers that so far he has no evidence anyone intended to deceive them. The matter remains under investigation not only by Republicans in Congress but also the Justice Department's inspector general.
The February 2011 letter said that the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives makes "every effort" to interdict weapons that have been purchased illegally before they cross into Mexico. It added that the allegation that the ATF had "sanctioned or otherwise knowingly allowed the sale of assault weapons" to suspicious people was false.
Both those statements turned out not to be true in the Fast and Furious operation, which targeted people who moved weapons to the violent Sinaloa, Mexico drug cartel during the Obama administration's tenure. Republican lawmakers want to know who wrote that letter and have demanded "accountability" for government lawyers who allegedly misled them.
Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif, Chairman of the committee, said today "We and the American people need answers sooner, not later."

Brian Terry, former Marine, was a US Border Agent when he was murdered with one of the firearms that “walked” across our border in the Department of Justice’s Fast and Furious, into the hands of Mexican drug cartel members.
On December 14, 2010, Brian was conducting operations as a member of the Border Patrol Tactical Unit in Nogales, Arizona. Brian and his team were targeting a “rip crew” who seek out to rob and assault drug runners. When Brian and his team encountered the 5 individuals in the “Peck Well” area near Rio Rico, Arizona shots were fired and Brian was shot in the lower back and mortally wounded during the exchange of gunfire and succumbed to his death on December 15, 2010.
It has been almost two years since Agent Terry’s murder and still Eric Holder, Attorney General of the United States of America is stonewalling Congress…Holder is delaying the inevitable – his prosecution for his involvement in Fast and Furious and perjury about that involvement, which led to the death of an American citizen at the hands of his own government.

No matter that dietitians and even New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg are decrying the health risks of sugary drinks. Azuse, 26, a bearded bear of a man, strolled into a Kum & Go convenience store on the north side of town yesterday afternoon, filled his mammoth cup to the brim with Mountain Dew Code Red, and made no apologies.

Here's the thing though...this individual thinks Bloomberg's ban on 16oz sodas is a good thing...his reasoning?
My defense of the "ban" is that the strain obesity puts on society -- greater shared healthcare costs, social burdens from customers, patients, and co-habitors, and the general specter of the obesity "epidemic" in the U.S. -- is much greater than the burden put on customers to buy a second soda, to get up and refill their drinks, or to merely stop drinking such absurd quantities of sugary drinks. I understand the value of personal choice, and liberty, and Truth, Justice, and the American Way, but I also cannot equate restrictions similar to making it more difficult to purchase a gun or not being able to house cigarette vending machines at your diner to stamping out one's freedom of choice. If you want a gun, it's still legally available to you. If you need your nicotine fix, your $11 cigarettes are at the corner store, same as your 2-liter sodas.
For the left, hating on smokers and the obese has always been given a pass...don't ask me why, I have not ever been able to figure out how the libtard's mind works...but when I read the above it made me think...'greater shared healthcare costs'?...what about the costs put upon society by people that participate in risky sexual practices? This would include both heterosexuals and homosexuals...why aren't these people included in liberal's false 'concern' for society and healthcare costs?
We all know why...those are sacred cows of liberals...but it raises the question of whether or not government should begin interfering with their lifestyles and lifestyle choices...I am NOT advocating that...but why should those choices be ignored when focusing on whether or not someone else should be able to buy a large sugary soda or another pack of cigarettes...
The old adage comes to mind: 'Be careful what you wish for'...what if, somewhere down the road, some other do-gooder decided to use the same yardstick as was used for smokers and the obese on people's sexual choices?...somehow liberals have ignored that when running around with all their so-called 'do-gooder' legislation which really boils down to controlling what you and I decide to do...interferance from the nanny government on very personal choices...good OR bad...that should be left up to the individual and not policed by the ever-expanding, ever-ominous gub'ment...

Neil Munro Explains His Exchange with President Obama in the Rose Garden...HAS OBAMA STARTED A WAR ON THE AMERICAN WORKER?
Neil Munro, the reporter from Daily Caller, explains what happened today...as you can see, Mr. Munro is not a frothing-at-the-mouth kook...he just wanted an answer to the question that is on every American's mind tonight:
Obama is not used to being asked questions that he is unprepared to answer...he orchestrates what we see and hear at these so-called "news conferences".
In the future, Munro hopes the White House will “arrange events so the reporters can ask the president or his senior staff about the important policy changes.”
Munro added that the administration normally selects which reporters are able to ask the president questions at press conferences beforehand. (my emphasis)
“You can see the president at press conferences naming people who are to ask a question,” Munro said. “Other reporters sit around quietly not asking questions, not shouting questions because it risks their access to White House off the record comments and future chances of asking questions, but this is a very important issue. So I took a hiatus from blogging...quite a long one as a matter of fact...personal issues...health issues...most of them now resolved...but the need for me to get my voice out there in order to defeat Obama's re-election has now become stronger than all the other issues...so I'm back :- D
Suffice it to say that previously, when blogging, I took it quite seriously and posted many many MANY things in one day...perhaps that is the reason I got so burned out...so - at least for now - my posts will consist of 1..maybe 2 per day...unless someone pisses me off or says something so outrageously false that requires an immediate response.
Hopefully this finds all of you in good health...good spirits...and good frame of mind. This election cycle is gonna be brutal...and we all need to find the wherewithal to withstand any counter-attacks.
