Florida Rep. Ritch Workman is outraged over a World History textbook for advanced students.
The new book praises Islam while denigrating Christianity and Judaism.

A world history book used in an Advanced Placement class is under review by a Florida school board over allegations it favors Islam at the expense of Christianity and Judaism.

State Rep. Ritch Workman told Fox News the Prentice World History textbook rewrites Islamic history and presents a biased version of the Muslim faith.

“The book has a 36-page chapter on Islam but no chapters on Christianity or Judaism,” Workman said. “It’s remarkably one-sided.”

The textbook is being used in an Advanced Placement class in Brevard County schools. The book is on a state-approved list and has been used in the school system for the past three years without any complaints.

Workman said he received a copy of the book and he said it’s clear the authors “make a very obvious attempt not to insult Islam by reshaping history.”

“If you don’t see it from the eyes of a parent, kids are going to take this book as gospel and believe that Christians and Jews were murderous barbarians and thank God the Muslims came along and the world is great,” he said.

For example, Workman said a reference to Mohammed and his armies taking over Medina states, “people happily accepted Islam as their way of life.”

“It leaves out that tens of thousands of Jews and non-believers were massacred by Mohammed’s armies,” he said. “It’s a blatant deception.”

As long ago as December 2012, USA Today had a story expressing concern about the 'potential' Obamacare privacy nightmare....I'm here to tell you there is nothing potential about it...this is a full-blown privacy nightmare.

The government tries to praise the system by telling us how easy it will be for states to "verify" our information.

But now community organizers, like ACORN, are jumping on the Obamacare bandwagon.

In its rush to sign up as many people as possible on the exchanges, the Obama
administration announced that it would abuse basic hiring standards by lowering the
qualification threshold for those wanting to become so-called “patient navigators.”

What are "patient navigators" you ask?

Navigators are people who assist others in applying for ObamaCare subsidies.

Instead of requiring the same level of credentialing that is required to work at the IRS and Census Bureau – at least a high school diploma and a criminal background check – the Obama Health and Human Services department is waiving those and will now allow anyone who completes a 20-30 hour online training seminar to get access to an applicant’s personal information. What’s more, navigators will be paid $20-48 an hour by the federal government for their work.

And don’t think that community organizers of every stripe aren’t chomping at the bit to navigate people into a government subsidy. Guidelines released by HHS indicate that some of the groups already lining up to get certified “include Planned Parenthood, senior-citizen advocacy organizations, and churches,” John Fund wrote recently in National Review.

Fund notes that “The standards proposed by your department could result in a convicted felon receiving federal dollars and gaining access to confidential taxpayer information,” a group of nine Republican senators led by Utah’s Orrin Hatch wrote to Secretary Sebelius last month. “The same standards allow any individual who has registered with the exchange and completed two days of training to facilitate enrollment, as if the decision to purchase health insurance is similar to the decision of registering to vote.”

HOWARD DEAN: OBAMACARE WILL HAVE DEATH PANELS

In an article he wrote for the Wall Street Journal, Howard Dean admits that Obamacare does have what Sarah Palin and the rest of us have said all along: death panels.

Dean's concern, however, doesn't seem to be with their existence...rather, his concern appears to be that these panels will limit the fees doctors can set and collect.

This paragraph from Dean I found telling and extremely disturbing:

One major problem is the so-called Independent Payment Advisory Board. The IPAB is essentially a health-care rationing body. By setting doctor reimbursement rates for Medicare and determining which procedures and drugs will be covered and at what price, the IPAB will be able to stop certain treatments its members do not favor by simply setting rates to levels where no doctor or hospital will perform them.
Dean, as all bureaucrats do, focuses on healthcare costs and whether or not Obamacare will cut said costs...

What about the fact that bureaucrats, the ones on the Independent Payment Advisory Board, will be making decisions about OUR health care? 

Dean states that the IPAB will be able to stop certain treatments its members do not favor...what treatments? chemo for elderly patients? hip replacement surgery for the same elderly person? Is there a particular age that this IPAB will be able to draw a line and say 'no more health care for this individual due to advancing age'?

What about people that do not live up to these IPAB's standards? Such as a child or older individual that has Down's Syndrome? Will these people be "allowed" treatment?

What about people that are over the 'weight limit' that Michelle Obama has been pushing all these years? Will those people be given treatment or will the IPAB determine that all health care be withheld until they lose weight and meet the government standards?

Don't laugh. Australia is deporting a man for being "too heavy". Happened this week. His weight? 20 stones 6 pounds, or 296 pounds. 

Who are the people that will serve on these IPAB's? Will they be from the IRS? Will they be appointed by Obama?

Will bureaucrats or celebrities or union bosses or - let's say anyone that donated to Obama's campaign - be given preferential treatment under these IPAB's?

Who oversees these Independent Payment Advisory Boards? The IRS?

Dean also says that the law will move America closer to universal health coverage—something many progressives have sought for years. 

Never mind that universal health coverage does not work. If progressives want it, THEY WANT IT!

This debacle that is being foisted on the American people needs to be stopped. The representatives that got elected to Congress as Republicans had better start acting like conservatives and start making decisions based on what is important to their constituents and not from what will benefit them.

It is and never should be up to bureaucrats to determine which medical treatment is right for you or your family. It is and never should be up to bureaucrats to determine when to stop a medical treatment for you or your family. 

IT IS AND NEVER SHOULD BE UP TO BUREAUCRATS TO DETERMINE ANYTHING ABOUT HOW  OR WHICH MEDICAL TREATMENT, PROGRAM, SURGERY, OUTPATIENT TREATMENT SHOULD BE UNDERTAKEN FOR YOU OR YOUR FAMILY. 

It is between you, your doctor and your family to make these decisions.

THE IMMINENT HEALTH-EXCHANGE SCANDAL

Michael Astrue, who served as HHS general counsel (1989-1992) and commissioner of Social Security (2007-2013) has written the following in the Weekly Standard's August 5, 2013 magazine:

After enactment of the ACA, the former administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Donald Berwick, had the responsibility of creating systems for the exchanges, which required peripheral support from the Social Security Administration (SSA) and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Congress did not appropriate special funding for this initiative, and Berwick was unwilling to shift adequate funds within CMS for this critical project. Berwick then failed to persuade HHS secretary Kathleen Sebelius to spend one penny on this effort from her massive ACA discretionary fund. Berwick also failed to bully SSA into paying for the entire system; he brushed aside the blatant illegality of that approach.

Civil servants at CMS did what they could to meet the statutory deadline​—​they threw together an overly simplistic system without adequate privacy safeguards. The system’s lack of any substantial verification of the user would leave members of the public open to identity theft, lost periods of health insurance coverage, and exposure of address for victims of domestic abuse and others. CMS then tried to deflect attention from its shortcomings by falsely asserting that it had done so to satisfy White House directives about making electronic services user-friendly. 

Here's the important part:

In reality, the beta version jammed through a few months ago will, unless delayed and fixed, inflict on the public the most widespread violation of the Privacy Act in our history. Almost a year ago both I and the IRS commissioner raised strong legal objections to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), which has statutory oversight responsibilities for the Privacy Act. As of the time of my resignation as commissioner of Social Security last February, OMB lawyers could not bring themselves to bless a portal in which I could change Donald Trump’s health insurance and he could change mine.

The Genesis of Tactic Proxy

After introducing his main tactics for community organizing, Alinsky discussed how they should be implemented in a community. He believed that "accident, unpredictable reactions to your own actions, necessity and improvisation dictate direction and nature of tactics." In short, he knew that the use of his tactics could bring about unintended effects, and the best organizers would adapt and use those side effects to the advantage of the organization. Alinsky warned organizers about rigidly holding to the tactics they developed for their community to implement. He knew that accidental reactions would occur following actions taken by a community, and the organizer would have to adjust the tactics used to match possible side effects and unpredictable reactions. When discussing how to prepare a community's plans for these unintended effects, Alinsky asserted that free, open-ended communication between the organizer and the community was necessary. Also, he told organizers to be curious and sensitive to opportunities that may arise in the unintended effects of implemented tactics, to adapt organizational methods to the climate within which the organizer operates.

The Way Ahead

The last section covers Alinsky’s analysis of the white, middle class in America—the class he believed could potentially hold the most money and power in the future. During the 1960s and 1970s, the middle class represented a massive proportion of the U.S. population known as the"silent majority". Alinsky believed that in the future, the organization of middle class communities would be much more important than that of lower income areas. He believed that by organizing the middle class, he could unite the most powerful socioeconomic unit in the country. With their power, implementing policy change and direct action tactics would be much more effective because of the availability of resources the middle class held compared to areas where poverty was more prevalent. He analyzed this class by population and income and addressed the importance of organizing them towards social welfare as the next big step in moving America towards a more equitable society.

It is unknown whether the autopsy performed on Trayvon Martin looked for or found elevated levels of cough syrup in his blood, but messages on social media seem to offer a clue as to whether or not Trayvon was manufacturing Purple Drank:

Things become even more clear when you look at the accurate timeline of events that took place the night of the incident.

Let me be extremely clear here.  Although there is ample evidence that Trayvon Martin was using Skittles and Arizona Iced Tea to make Purple Drank / Lean, I’m merely offering an explanation as to why he may have been paranoid and agitated.  I’m not saying that this should have ended in a tragedy.  But I am giving you information HLN and the media will not give you, and hopefully offering some insight as to why Trayvon Martin acted the way he did.

MORGAN: You felt that there was no doubt in your mind from what Trayvon was telling you on the phone about the creepy ass cracka and so on, that he absolutely believed that George Zimmerman, this man, you didn't know who he was at the time, but this man, was pursuing him?

JEANTEL: Yes.

MORGAN: And he was freaked out by it?

JEANTEL: Yes. Definitely after I say may be a rapist, for every boy, for every man, every -- who's not that kind of way, seeing a grown man following them, would they be creep out?

She continued:

"And people need to understand, he didn't want that creepy ass cracker going to his father or girlfriend's house to go get -- mind you, his little brother was there. You know -- now, mind you, I told you -- I told Trayvon it might have been a rapist."

- IRS targeting, delaying, harrassing, terrorizing, intimidating any conservative that dared to take out an application for a non-profit so that those same conservatives were unable - and are STILL unable - to raise money for conservative candidates for office

- Same IRS officials stonewalling Congress when brought in for questioning

- Eric Holder, the US Attorney General, stonewalling Congress for over two years now

Wikileaks released this statement today from Edward Snowden. In the letter, Snowden rips Obama for rejecting the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, revoking his passport, and claims Obama is afraid of a constitutional government and informed public.

One week ago I left Hong Kong after it became clear that my freedom and safety were under threat for revealing the truth. My continued liberty has been owed to the efforts of friends new and old, family, and others who I have never met and probably never will. I trusted them with my life and they returned that trust with a faith in me for which I will always be thankful.

On Thursday, President Obama declared before the world that he would not permit any diplomatic "wheeling and dealing" over my case. Yet now it is being reported that after promising not to do so, the President ordered his Vice President to pressure the leaders of nations from which I have requested protection to deny my asylum petitions.

This kind of deception from a world leader is not justice, and neither is the extralegal penalty of exile. These are the old, bad tools of political aggression. Their purpose is to frighten, not me, but those who would come after me.

For decades the United States of America have been one of the strongest defenders of the human right to seek asylum. Sadly, this right, laid out and voted for by the U.S. in Article 14 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, is now being rejected by the current government of my country. The Obama administration has now adopted the strategy of using citizenship as a weapon. Although I am convicted of nothing, it has unilaterally revoked my passport, leaving me a stateless person. Without any judicial order, the administration now seeks to stop me exercising a basic right. A right that belongs to everybody. The right to seek asylum.

In the end the Obama administration is not afraid of whistleblowers like me, Bradley Manning or Thomas Drake. We are stateless, imprisoned, or powerless. Say what you will about Edward Snowden, I am still of the mind that he had few options since - with his insight to how this admnistration really operates - he knew that the 'normal channels' of reporting to superiors would not be taken seriously or covered up.
