Proof of that statement? Why - the PROOF is in the fact that the Border Patrol has now been ordered to Stand Down...and allow ILLEGALS to cross right before their eyes and...the Border Patrol is to DO NOTHING TO STOP THEM....
The reason for this insane order??

Republican Congressman Tom Tancredo of Colorado revealed a bombshell on last night’s program. And it’s news you probably WON’T be hearing about in the mainstream media.Here’s what Tancredo told us:
“As I was waiting to come on the show I got an email from a very credible source within the US Border patrol, and he has just told me that Chief Nicely of Immigration and Customs Enforcement has ordered that the apprehension of illegal aliens coming across the same area that was being patrolled by the Minutemen Project are to be kept to a minimum. And in fact his directive, according to this source, is to make sure than apprehensions even are below that that were in progress during the Minutemen presence on the border, for the purpose of trying to say or to prove their point that the Minutemen’s did nothing, didn’t help, really had no effect on apprehensions.
“We all know this is absolutely untrue --- we all know what was happening on that border, on that 23- mile stretch before they got there and what happened while they were there, and it was a huge, huge difference. This is another example of the degree to which the Administration, the Management of the Border Patrol and others will go in order to not confront the issue of illegal immigration into this country and essentially not be made fools of.”
Tancredo said the border patrol agents have told him they cannot talk publicly about what is really going on.
The US Border Patrol has been ordered to “forward deploy” by Immigration Control. “Forward deploy” is the term used by Immigration Control to describe the order to US Border Patrol agents to sit in their patrol cars on a specific spot and DO NOTHING while the illegals stream past them.
During last night’s interview with Republican Colorado Congressman Tom Tancredo, an outspoken critic of the Bush Administration and Congress’ failure to protect our border, Tancredo says he believes the move is a direct attempt to discredit Minutemen Project volunteer border observers.
Tancredo believes the purpose is to prove their point that the Minutemen were of no help in assisting in apprehensions, another example of the degree to which the Administration and the management of our Border Patrol will go.
“There are people in this Congress and, I believe, even the president of the United States…” who would open our borders in an effort to create a one continent nation.
This is OUTRAGEOUS!!!
After all the hard work, the efforts by dedicated, loyal Americans to make the point that - Hey, the borders are POROUS...to go to these lengths just to 'save face'...I mean...this is CRIMINAL for the Border Patrol to be ordered to ALLOW ILLEGALS TO CROSS AND DO NOTHING!!
Let me tell you - and this only REINFORCES IT...the Minuteman Project WAS SUCCESSFUL...and there will be more of these efforts...and Desert Rat will participate...

More than 850 volunteers, in a protest of the lax immigration enforcement policies of the White House and Congress, sought to reduce the flow of illegal aliens along a popular immigration corridor on the Arizona-Mexico border near Naco by reporting illegals to the Border Patrol as they crossed into the United States.
Their goal was to show that increased manpower on the border would effectively deter illegal immigration. Organizers said the protest resulted in Border Patrol arrests of 349 illegal aliens.
Area residents, in a half-page ad in the Sunday edition of the Sierra Vista Herald, told the volunteers: "Thanks for doing what our government won't -- close the border to illegal aliens. It was the quietest month we've had in many years ... You made us feel safe because the border was closed."
