Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak IS to speak. Not to act IS to act. ~ Dietrich Bonhoeffer / We all must make a choice between what is right and what is easy. ~ Dumbledor

STOP ILLEGALS FROM ENTERING THIS COUNTRY NOW!
An open letter to Congress and this administration:
It is time for you to put an end to the discussion,
consideration, bargaining, deal making and whatever else you are doing
regarding any option about making people that came to this country ILLEGALLY
citizens of this country!
It is time to STOP NOW.
Consider this:
I am sure most, if not all, of you in Congress live in homes that have
homeowner’s associations. In fact you probably live in gated communities. So,
what if one day your homeowner’s association members – people that you and your
neighbors elected to uphold the homeowner’s bylaws – decided that they are no
longer going to provide security for your neighborhood. Furthermore, the gates
are now going to be open and unguarded.
What if that same homeowner’s board of directors decided
that you could no longer lock your gates or doors.
What if some people came into your house and decided they
wanted to live there, even if it did not belong to them.
And these people that trespassed began using your water,
eating your food, using your electricity without paying for it.
These same trespassers became so comfortable they decided
that they wanted to own your house, even though they aren’t paying for it
because it wasn’t FAIR that you owned it and they didn’t.
What if the homeowner’s association board of directors, upon
hearing the complaints and cries of UNFAIRNESS, decided that they would pass a
new bylaw giving these trespassers part ownership of your house.
Even though you point out over and over that there is not
enough room – or money – to provide housing and food for everyone now crowded
into your house, the board of directors turned a deaf ear to you and said they
were going to do it because these trespassers actually moved into your home and
took over your possessions out of an act of love. (source: Jeb Bush)
Those of you that live in Washington DC live in a bubble.
You have 24/7 armed security guards. NONE of the laws you are considering
regarding making citizens out of people that came here ILLEGALY will affect
YOU.
You are foisting this upon the American people that sent you
to our nation’s capitol to uphold our Constitution.
Instead, you are busy devising ways to keep yourselves
comfortably inside the bubble, safely away from the consequences of what you
are considering.
This country was built by OUR ancestors, regardless of what
Barack Hussein Obama claims.
WE BUILT THIS COUNTRY. IT IS OURS.
The UNFAIR part about all of this is that you are
unilaterally, without support of the citizens of this country, still
considering this misguided course of action.
We listened to you in 1988 when you said that act of making
ILLEGALS citizens was the LAST TIME YOU WERE GOING TO DO IT.
Things are not better. They are worse!
CLOSE OUR BORDERS.
STOP ILLEGALS FROM ENTERING THIS COUNTRY.
FOLLOW THE LAWS THAT ARE ALREADY ON THE BOOKS AND DO YOUR JOB!

BRANDON MENDOZA POSTHUMOUSLY PROMOTED TO SERGEANT
5/15/2014 from CBS 5 - KPHO
The Mesa police officer who was killed on a Valley freeway by a wrong-way driver
Monday night has been posthumously promoted to the rank of sergeant.
The honor for Brandon Mendoza came during visitation services Thursday night for the 32-year-old veteran of the Mesa police force.
A Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church located at 1534 N. Recker Road in Mesa.
Immediately following the service, at about 11:30 a.m., a procession is planned to the Queen of Heaven Cemetery at 1500 E. Baseline Road in Mesa.
The procession will head south on Recker to Brown, west on Brown to Higley, south on Higley to Baseline, west on Baseline to Harris and north on Harris to the ceremony.
Tributes for Mendoza have poured in this week.
Mesa's Vice Mayor Christopher Glover called Brandon Mendoza his friend and described him as a man of courage and conviction.
"His life was filled with love, loyalty and laughter," said Glover. "He had the biggest heart of anyone I knew."
Mendoza seemed to have made a positive impact wherever he went - whether it was in Mesa, where he worked, or in Phoenix, where he lived.
"I'll miss that such a compassionate person has left this Earth too soon, because there was nothing or no one he wouldn't help," said Mendoza's friend, Melissa Simpson.
"I'm at a loss," retired Mesa Police Officer Helen Simmonds said. "The citizens who never had contact with him don't know what they missed. And people who did have contact with him know what they're going to miss."
"He was just a very caring person, human being and did a lot for his community, and it's just a sad day that he's lost his life," said Chandra Hardenburg who runs Pittie Me Rescue in Gilbert.
Mendoza was an icon in the Mesa Police Department who "epitomized what community policing is all about," said Mesa Police Chief Frank Milstead. "He is everything that as a chief you want an officer to be."
The last officer the Mesa Police Department lost was Officer Steve Pollard in a fatal collision on the Loop 202 in 1994, Milstead said.

SENATOR TED CRUZ RELEASES LIST OF 76 LAWLESS OBAMA ADMINISTRATION ACTIONS AND ABUSES OF POWER
FROM THE DAILY CALLER:
Republican Sen. Ted Cruz released a definitive list Wednesday of 76 “lawless” Obama administration actions and abuses of power.
Cruz’s “The Legal Limit Report No. 4,” obtained by The Daily Caller, delves into little-known and little-reported details of President Obama’s executive actions. Cruz was set to discuss his report at the Federalist Society in the Promenade Ballroom of the Mayflower Hotel in Washington at 2:15 PM Wednesday.
“Of all the troubling aspects of the Obama presidency, none is more dangerous than the President’s persistent pattern of lawlessness, his willingness to disregard the written law and instead enforce his own policies via executive fiat,” Cruz stated in the report’s introductory remarks.
“President Obama has openly defied [rule of law] by repeatedly suspending, delaying, and waiving portions of the laws that he is charged to enforce. When President Obama disagreed with federal immigration laws, he instructed the Justice Department to cease enforcing the laws. He did the same thing with federal welfare law, drug laws, and the federal Defense of Marriage Act,” Cruz wrote. “In the more than two centuries of our nation’s history, there is simply no precedent for the White House wantonly ignoring federal law and asking others to do the same.”
Cruz details 76 specific actions over eight chapters. We’ve listed eight of them, as chronicled by Cruz, below:
1. “Obama implemented portions of the DREAM Act by executive action”
2. “Ended some terror asylum restrictions”
3. “Recognized same sex marriage in Utah despite a Supreme Court stay on a court order allowing the institution”
4. “Illegally revealed the existence of sealed indictments in the Benghazi investigation”
5. “Illegally delayed Obamacare verification of eligibility for healthcare subsidies”
6. “Ordered Boeing to fire 1,000 employees in South Carolina and shut down a new factory because it was non-union”
7. “Terminated the pensions of 20,000 non-union Delphi employees in the GM bankruptcy.”
8. “Government agencies are engaging in ‘Operation Choke Point,’ where the government asks banks to ‘choke off’ access to financial services for customers engaging in conduct the Administration does not like—such as ‘ammunition sales.’”
