No More Jumbo Jacks For Me...

On Tuesday, May 10, 2005 Officer David Uribe, a 22 year veteran for the Phoenix Police Department, was conducting a routine traffic stop in the area of 35th ave. and Cactus in Phoenix, Arizona. Officer Uribe ran a license plate through dispatch and when the plate returned stolen Officer Uribe turned his unit around to follow the vehichle with the stolen plate. Officer Uribe pulled the Maroon, Monte Carlo over in the neighborhood of 35th ave. and Cactus. Officer Uribe stepped out of his vehicle to approach the Monte Carlo to question the subjects. While approaching the Monte Carlo the two subjects, while inside the vehicle, opened fire on the officer hitting him twice, once in the head and in the neck. Officer Uribe never had a chance....

...so what does this have to do with Jack In the Box, you ask?

...apparently a lot...

...one of our morning talk show hosts, Bruce Jacobs, just read an email from a Phoenix police officer who relayed that on May 11, 2005, the day after Officer Uribe was gunned down, Phoenix officers were walking the neighborhood and asking businesses to post signs with the information about the murdering suspects...even businesses that had a policy against posting such signs took them and placed them on counters where their customers could see them...that is, all businesses...EXCEPT...Jack in the Box...

...I don't know about you, but any business that has a policy against helping the police when they are looking for murderers...dangerous criminals...that business is aiding and abetting those criminals...

...and as for me...if I am craving a burger...I will go ANYWHERE BUT JACK IN THE BOX...
