More McAuliffe...

Go to Captain's Quarters and you will find not only his report on the Hewitt/McAuliffe slaughter, but another McAuliffe action piece when he and Sean Hannity sparred. I would hate to have McAuliffe's job. But then, when you look at his history, this is all second nature. Lies, lies and more lies. How does he keep 'em all straight...???

Terry McAuliffe on Hugh Hewitt

oh boy - Hugh hit one out of the ballpark today. You could tell when McAuliffe was running out of playbook answers and getting angry and frustrated when he began to call Hewitt "Hughie". Hewitt was cool. He sidestepped the McAuliffe dodgeballs and kept on whacking away. Go to the link and listen to Hewitt's archive stream of today's show.

I have to admit, it would really be a difficult job trying to defend someone as slimey as Kerry, but then looking at McAuliffe makes me remember what my Grandma always said...something about 'birds of a feather'....

oh Greta...

is it only me, or does anyone else suspect that Greta van Sustern, FoxNews, is having a difficult time covering the RNC this week? I mean, I have always wondered how comfortable she was in the conservative universe that is Fox...

Franken going nuclear?

Wizbang has this tidbit about Al Franken on the attack

Kerry's Meets the Press...

Found this on Kerry Haters, a link to History News Network, which is the transcript from the May 6, 2001 Tim Russert interview of Senator John Kerry on Meet the Press. In the course of the interview, Mr. Russert asked the senator about his views on Vietnam. This is the one where Kerry admits to committing atrocities in VietNam. I mean, it 's in his own words, out of his mouth..

Seriously...

Arnold is doing a fantastic job. He has hit every high note right on que. And his description of what is a Republican - outstanding! A portion:
"If you believe that this nation and not the United Nations is the best hope for democracy, then you are a Republican.
And ladies and gentlemen, if you believe that we must be fierce and relentless and terminate terrorism, then you are a Republican.
Now, there's another way you can tell you're Republican: your faith in free enterprise, faith in the resourcefulness of the American people, and faith in the U.S. economy.
And to those critics who are so pessimistic about our economy, I say: Don't be economic girlie men!"

AHNOLD!!

Well, you don't have to wait any longer to find out if Arnold is going to say Girlie-man - he just did. Dontcha just love his style...

It is so good to celebrate being an American

...I have to tell you that even I have gotten discouraged sometimes lately. The hatred that has been spewing all over us from the left has almost choked me. And every time I pick myself up, dust everything off, and get back to it.
I sort of get the impression that the delegates to the RNC have been experiencing the same thing. You can see it in their faces, it is so good to celebrate being an American. It is so good to yell and shout in support of our President.
So much attention has been focused on what is wrong with our country, it is difficult some days to even get up and go to work. The negative message from Kerry and Edwards - that isn't about me! And I don't think it's about you. So how do they get so many people drinking the kool-aid?
But, this is not about Kerry - or Edwards. This is about all of the positive people that are supporting our president in his re-election. I am proud to be a supporter of George W. Bush. He has already made history. And, I expect him to continue doing more of exactly that for the next four years.

Guiliani is so genuine

Rudy Guiliani definitely has a political future, whatever he wants I would think. The delegates are really warming up to him. I came back to note that both Guiliani and McCain made a point to recognize Dick Cheney, and the delegates are definitely supporting him.

McCain and Moore

I watched it on C-Span, Editor and Publisher is also reporting that at one point McCain referred to a certain "disingenuous film-maker" and seemed to glance at Moore above him. The crowd went wild. And they were not in favor of Mr. Slobby. The boos started and continued so long, that McCain made the same statement again. Typical Moore flashed the 'loser' sign. Must've been referring to himself.

9-11 Survivors

What emotion. Those women did a fantastic job. Spoke from their hearts, they did. Very touching.

McCain did a great job

John McCain speaking at the Republican National Convention really did a good job endorsing George Bush for re-election.

Americans rejoice as elites defecate on them

Found this gem on the Communists for Kerry website. Those guys are funny!

Foreign Communists have invaded New York

From hundredpercenter.com pictures in from New York this weekend. Even Michael Moore joined the protesters.

Moore is a gross, shapeless, unshaven monument to self-indulgence and gobbling

This also from NewsMax Insider Report:

British historian and author Paul Johnson, writing in Forbes, gave us our quote of the week:

“I am one of those who resent the way in which many showbiz personalities abuse their popularity by trying to bully voters into supporting their left-wing views. Many of them in London seem to be in the Kerry camp. The pop star Elton John accuses the Bush Administration of censoring music (if only it were true), a preposterous claim typical of the abuse coming from the greasepaint brigade.

“Hollywood, too seem lined up on Kerry’s side. I haven’t seen Michael Moore’s anti-Bush movie. But all I have to do is to mentally line up Moore alongside Bush to decide whom I prefer. As Hamlet says: ‘look here, upon this picture, and on this . . . Hyperion to a satyr.’ Bush looks to be a man who keeps himself trim through self-discipline, while Moore is a gross, shapeless, unshaven monument to self-indulgence and gobbling.”

McCain: Question Kerry's Anti-War Antics

NewsMax is also reporting that John McCain, while still maintaining that the SBV ads are "dishonest and dishonorable", stated that it is legitimate to question Kerry's anti-war efforts after he returned from Viet Nam.

Families of POWs Frightened By Kerry

James Hirsen of NewsMax reports that he hears from inside the Swift Boat Vets groups that Kerry's campaign and its allies in the media have been so intimidating that some critics are now fearful of coming forward.

The plan was to release the first TV ad with Kerry's own band of brothers from the Swift Boats accusing him of lying about what happened in Vietnam and his own record.
The second wave was to have POWs on camera accusing Kerry of betrayal for his anti-war activities after he left Vietnam.

Those two waves hit like political atom bombs.

The third wave of attack was to have the families of the POWs go on air to reveal how Kerry's activities hurt them and their imprisoned loved ones.

Apparently, there are also claims that anti-war protesters like Jane Fonda and John Kerry actually contacted the families of POWS, encouraging them to come forward and criticize the U.S. government. Some families were told that by criticizing the U.S. government their loved ones in Hanoi would get better treatment.

But getting POW family members to speak out has become difficult. After seeing how the Swift Boat Vets and the POWs have been treated, many are fearful of going public.

One who went through the ringer for speaking out was former POW Ken Cordier, a former Air Force Colonel. When a friend recently commiserated with the media drubbing, Cordier said, "The communists tortured me for seven years, this is nothing."

If this were true, it would be disgusting...

Disgusting Michael Moore has another Bush hit piece on his website today. Michael Moore accuses Bush of being a deserter. When? Where?

The point is, as early as May 2004 people were questioning Kerry, and now, it appears that the some in the US Navy are questioning the validity of some of the docs that have been posted at John Kerry's official election website, but none of the left wing libs will recognize that this is really a serious problem for "Johnny" boy.

okay, it's not politics, but...

how do I ask my sis if this is what's bothering her ?...

G.I. rips Moore and 9/11

Michael Moore using someone in his crocumentary against their will? Imagine that. Of course the "license" for it came from NBC...where else?

Felons for Kerry

I know that this has been online since June but it just appeared in NewsMax in the August 2004 print version. Although American Coming Together (ACT) has said they don't see it as a problem, I DO. The fact that these felons are gathering social security numbers, addresses and telephone numbers of citizens is troubling to me.

ACT does not believe the felons it sends door to door pose a threat to the public, said Mo Elleithee, a Washington-based spokesman for the group.
"We believe it's important to give people a second chance," Elleithee said. "The fact that they are willing to do this work is a fairly serious indication that they want to become productive members of society."
Although ACT asks job applicants to cite their criminal history and hires some felons and not others, Elleithee would not reveal how many felons ACT has hired to canvass neighborhoods and register voters. They earn $8 to $12 an hour.
Elleithee confirmed that felons have been hired in Missouri, Florida and Ohio and said it was possible that felons had been hired in the other 14 states in which it's conducting its drive: Arizona, Arkansas, Iowa, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Washington, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

And there you go!

Front Page Magazine's website has a must read article by Lowell Ponte about the upcoming protests and protesters in NY during the RNC. He reveals that at least some of the funding is from John Kerry's wife, Teresa Heinz Kerry. Talk about a web of connections! When is the media going to cover THIS one?

Ruckus has also accepted more than $23,000 from the leftwing Tides Foundation, which has been given at least $400,000 by the Heinz Foundation, which is controlled by Teresa Heinz Kerry, who is the wife of 2004 Democratic Party presidential candidate Senator John F. Kerry. Money being fungible, it is reasonable to infer that some of the cash that has bankrolled Ruckus Society protests and the training of confrontational radical protestors at the 2000 and 2004 Republican National Conventions has come via the family of Democratic candidate John F. Kerry.

WOW! Just got my copy of Unfit for Command and already I am hooked. Just read the intro so far, but it is compelling. Amazon still has copies but are backordered for a week. If you haven't already ordered yours do it today. I am going back to the library...

Did anyone tell Bush?

This is great - let's hope it filters up and really does happen! Thanks to Scrapple Face for the great satire.

Never forget

this is really good send it to everyone you know.
Found it on Desert Cat's Paradise

Steyn on Kerry's Quagmire

Mark Steyn does a great analysis of how Kerry has brought all this grief on himself in this article in the U.K. Spectator. Recommended reading for a good laugh before you hit the sack.

NewsMax Uncovers Kerry's Ties to Anti-Bush Groups

Thanks in part to tips from readers nationwide who are outraged about the blatant bias of the media establishment, NewsMax has found the following damaging information that directly ties Kerry to the Anti-Bush 527s. Hey Johnny, when are you going to denounce them??

Kerry:Do as I say, not as I do!

Even as John Kerry keeps refusing to quit the Senate job he gets paid for but seldom does, today he insisted that Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld should resign.

don't you ever just hate someone the minute you hear them speak?

Terry McAuliffe has that effect on me. He is vile. And while I am on this topic, why are the Republicans always so polite???
During the Dem convention, did you see anyone from the right trying to wreak havoc? I know all about free speech, but sometimes I get really tired of the bullshit that comes from the left. They are so last year! Well, really, when you consider the old hippies that are going to converge on New York for the RNC, they are so forty years ago! Grow up!

It is about what happend AFTER Viet Nam, Helen!

Today Helen thomas states that it is only about the fact that Kerry went to Viet Nam while Bush "skulked at home" (her words). Sorry, Helen, that is NOT what it's about. This is what it is about - Kerry meeting with Communist Party officials in Saigon in 1993 and his place of honor in their museum. Kerry - a HERO to the communists! As if everything that Kerry did when he returned from Viet Nam wasn't enough, he made sure that everyone was clear about his relationship with the enemy.

THAT, Helen, is what it is about!!

Here we go with Voter Fraud!

You read about New York and Florida residents registering to vote in both states, now here comes information about voter fraud in other states! New Mexico North Carolina Colorado Tennessee Ohio Florida again
What's wrong with this picture??

Republicans are catching on

Now you can support a Republican 527, Progress for America. Drop by their webpage and make a donation today. Even $25 will help.

According to this article in the Washington Times
"We felt it was imperative that we engage in the debate and help level the playing field to counter what the liberal 527s have done over the past year, beating up President Bush," said Brian McCabe, president of Progress for America Voter Fund, a 527 that had raised only about $3 million until about six weeks ago.
The group, one of many 527s that have flourished since Congress barred political parties from using unlimited contributions, or "soft money," from unions, corporations and individuals, now has $35 million in pledges and deposits, and is to start its second anti-Kerry ad buy in Iowa and Wisconsin today. Mr. McCabe said Republican donors have been "coalescing" around his group in the past few weeks.
Anti-Bush 527s have been a political force this election cycle, with nine of the top ten fund-raising 527s being Democratic or anti-Bush groups, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. Among the top 50 fund-raising 527s, which CRP determined based on Internal Revenue Service records as of Monday, just a handful are working against Democratic presidential nominee Sen. John Kerry. CRP says three groups — the Media Fund, America Coming Together (ACT) and MoveOn.org — have raised a combined $64 million to spend on ads and voter registration and mobilization efforts.

Another Kerry lie

Something To Cry About reports that Kerry lied in January 2003 during a speech at a Martin Luther King Day celebration. There is really something creepy and pathological about Kerry.

It's going to get dirtier

The American Spectator reports that the DNC is going to step up its smear campaign against the Swift Boat Vets:

According to a Kerry campaign source in Washington, the campaign itself, or perhaps entities outside of the campaign to allow for plausible deniability, has pulled together more than 1,000 documents related to members of Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, many of them compiled within the past three weeks by professional opposition researchers assigned to dig up dirt.

"We have the documents," says the campaign source. "It's not clear that the campaign did this or that it was done by an outside group and given to us. Either way, we have the stuff and we're going to use it."

and:

"These guys say they know war and they know battle, well this is war. They can't expect the Kerry people to just sit back on their heels. There will be pushback and it will be ugly."

Max Cleland's Big Adventure...

Well, Kerry is really desperate. Today he sent Max Cleland, triple amputee and a Kerry supporter, to President Bush's ranch in Crawford, TX, with a letter demanding that Bush denounce the SBV ads. (sheesh!)
A Texas state official and Vietnam veteran, Jerry Patterson, said someone from the Bush campaign contacted him Wednesday morning and asked him if he would travel to the ranch, welcome Cleland to Texas and accept the former senator's letter to Bush. "I tried to accept that letter and he would not give it to me," said Patterson. "He would not face me. He kept rolling away from me. He's quite mobile." (our emphasis added)

Here is a letter back to John Kerry from supports, veterans all and members of Veterans for Bush, that Max Cleland refused to take:

August 25, 2004
Senator John Kerry
304 Russell Senate Office Building
Washington, DC 20510

Dear Senator Kerry,

We are pleased to welcome your campaign representatives to Texas today. We honor all our veterans, all whom have worn the uniform and served our country. We also honor the military and National Guard ( search ) troops serving in Iraq ( search ) and Afghanistan ( search ) today.
We are very proud of all of them and believe they deserve our full support

That's why so many veterans are troubled by your vote AGAINST funding for our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, after you voted FOR sending them into battle. And that's why we are so concerned about the comments you made AFTER you came home from Vietnam. You accused your fellow veterans of terrible atrocities - and, to this day, you have never apologized. Even last night, you claimed to be proud of your post-war condemnation of our actions.

We're proud of our service in Vietnam. We served honorably in Vietnam and we were deeply hurt and offended by your comments when you came home.

You can't have it both ways. You can't build your convention and much of your campaign around your service in Vietnam, and then try to say that only those veterans who agree with you have a right to speak up. There is no double standard for our right to free speech. We all earned it.

You said in 1992 "we do not need to divide America over who served and how." Yet you and your surrogates continue to criticize President Bush for his service as a fighter pilot in the National Guard.

We are veterans too - and proud to support President Bush . He's been a strong leader, with a record of outstanding support for our veterans and for our troops in combat. He's made sure that our troops in combat have the equipment and support they need to accomplish their mission.

He has increased the VA health care ( search ) budget more than 40% since 2001 - in fact, during his four years in office, President Bush has increased veterans funding twice as much as the previous administration did in eight years ($22 billion over 4 years compared to $10 billion over 8.) And he's praised the service of all who served our country, including your service in Vietnam.

We urge you to condemn the double standard that you and your campaign have enforced regarding a veteran's right to openly express their feelings about your activities on return from Vietnam.

Sincerely,
Texas State Land Commissioner Jerry Patterson
Rep. Duke Cunningham
Rep. Duncan Hunter
Rep. Sam Johnson
Lt. General David Palmer
Robert O'Malley, Medal of Honor Recipient
James Fleming, Medal of Honor Recipient
Lieutenant Colonel Richard Castle (Ret.)

John Kerry's book is online

The entire text of John Kerry's book, The New Soldier, is online. It will be worth the effort to download it. This is the book that John Kerry wants to go away. I just saw a copy on ebay for $610 - apparently Kerry supporters are trying to bury it.

Go to the website and download your copy today

Sometimes don't you just wonder?

All of the rhetoric about John Kerry is really wearing thin. He was the one that bravely faced the cameras and said "Bring it on!" and now that some of his fellow Viet Nam vets have, he is crying foul. Shakespear once had a line...methinks you protest too much. Whatever Kerry is hiding really should see the light of day. I mean, after all, he has been claiming that W. was AWOL, and it turns out he wasn't.
I heard today that Kerry, after applying for a deferment so he could go to school in Europe and was denied, applied to some sort of reserve unit. Trouble is, there is absolutely no record of him ever showing up. Ever. Why isn't the media howling about that? Makes you wonder, huh.

Well I did it

After logging onto many other blogs, I finally took the leap and started one of my own. This a little wierd, but I will probably get used to it. My only hope is to find a way to spread 'the word' - about re-electing George W. Bush.
