John Edwards on FoxNews Sunday

John Edwards, Vice Presidential candidate, just told Chris Wallace on FoxNews Sunday that he and John Kerry would cut programs if the programs would cost more than the money generated from raising taxes on the 'wealthy'.

What does that mean?

As long ago as April 2004 the WashingtonTimes was reporting on Kerry's budget fallacies

Now, the PalmBeachPost has an article that includes information from a recent analysis by the Concord Coalition, a non-partisan Washington budget research group, has calculated that:

Kerry's proposals would, over ten years, raise taxes on upper-income earners - those who make more than $200,000 a year - by $286 billion; cut taxes on the middle class by $508 billion; and raise spending overall by $771 billion. Combined with other changes Kerry's proposed, his plan would add an estimated $1.3 trillion to the currently projected deficit.

So - election promises be damned - vote for Kerry on his empty promises - then he will get into office and cut the very programs he got elected on.

This is so typical of liberals. For years the mantra was to improve health coverage for seniors but it took a Republican Congress and a Republican President to get the job done.
